/me has either the song "Dragostea Din Tei" or the "12 days of Christmas" on the mind...

And for those who wonder "WTH" is "Dragostea..." is... That's the title for that "Numa Numa" song... And it's romanian??

Worked... Low vis and all that other fun stuff that flyers have to contend with. More OT. Gonna see if I can get two weeks off in Jan... Watched bits of 9/11 stuff that was on History Channel at work. Read the british magazine HELLO - and no, there's no Kitty in there.

Played L2. Currently being cursed thus not really hunting anything, thus mostly fishing. Death penalties suck.

Checked emails, read various forums, checked out the new issue of Imagine FX.
Not much otherwise...

DNP. Worked, watched the latest Dexter episode, studied. On the way home I picked up eggnog for whenever we get around to trimming the tree.

Made dinner, watched a couple of old Desperate Housewives episodes, went to bed. <Homer>Boring</Homer>

Last night I got a good run in. Felt good. Which is good since my last run was so bad. After running I ate leftovers and planned to log into WoW. But I started going through some boxes I still need to clean up from the remodeling and started throwing things away. ended up tossing out about three boxes worth of old junk (including some old 5 1/4" floppies that I'd have no way of ever using anyway). Before I realized it, it was past my bedtime.

I plan to play tonight after another run.

Last night, I finished up my schoolwork except for the major final project. That took most of the evening. Went to the library to do research for the final, came home, played a tiny bit of super collapse and then crashed.

I'll be doing my final project and pretty much nothing else until its done. :P

Played Laser Tag with some people from my company. It was a good time. I took Rebecca and Clarissa with me. They had fun as well.

Logged into WoW late. Decided to try to some new zones, got to Felwood. Had a good time there just exploring. Now, I got some quests in Felwood. I'll probably play there for a little.

I was Mr Mom from 7-9:30 last night and try to play a bit with William on my lap but couldn't do much but putter around Qeynos. Then I embarassingly got sucked into MTV's True Life about three Staten Island girls. Hilarious.

MTV has a show called "My Super Sweet Sixteen" where the worst parents in the universe spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for their horrible daughters' 16th birthday parties.

Everytime I watch it I think "My God, the terrorists are right!"

DNP. I was quite tired when i got home from work. Monday night, my damn dog kept howling for no reason ALL NIGHT LONG. I dont know what was up with him, all his needs were met. Thank goodness he didnt pull that **** with me last night. I tried to log into WoW but the queue was like 40 minutes, so i said **** it. Other than that, im getting ready for Jack's bday party this saturday. My little man is going to be 7. We are having his party at the karate place. And he wants everyone to come dressed as ninjas.

I'd just like to point out that it has been one year to this day that I officially joined the forum. (and I havent caused too much damage) :lowcool:

Worked late yesterday, got home and snagged cold pizza (leftovers from the family dinner) and watched "House". Briefly plyed some Guild Wars to level up my NPC heroes some more, then hit the sack.

My son had a late start at school today (1 hour delay for teachers to work in peace), so I stopped at Best Buy on the way to drop kids off and picked up the last of the things I needed for Christmas shopping. I am officially done!

Are you certain we didn't randomly hook up 8 or so years ago? Jack is like the son I don't (insofar as I know) actually have.

And happy forum anniversary!

got home, took k for a walk, sat at my computer for ~45 minutes before we decided that if we were going out to get dinner, we needed to actually GO since it was 8:30 already

picked up bonds 3&4, thin man set for my mom, the old cheesy animated d&d cartoon, dinner

i picked up what i think are the bits i need to finish up the sink, including pvc cement sicne i can't find bits that actually look like they go where i want them to without it. didn't do anything with it, though, since k was home yesterday and thus bouncy explorery and nosey. didn't want him getting cement on his nose or whacked in the head with a pipe wrench or anything

The LoW group in Acadechism was full. Zyzzyva thus spent the evening (with an hour's break in the middle) in Lesser Faydark hunting near the Obelisk of the Blight. He was able to complete the Shadowed Man language quest; however, he didn't achieve his prime objective (getting page 3 of those needed to start the Cloak of Flames heritage quest).

Says you. Look at what you've done to Greebo. He was a nice, cuddly teddy bear before you joined. And leng. He used to LOVE Windows before you showed up. Guys like Mantis and Straxus - they used to post ALL the time. You couldn't shut them up. And now? Ghosts.

Oh you've done your damage, Missy. I hope you're happy.

Congrats on the one year anniversary. :lowrazz:

I don't think there is a show on tv that makes me angrier. I want to kill all of them and I am generally a fairly laid back fellow.

South Park did a rip on that with Satan's Sweet 16. Even as a parody it was bad...

After work, hightailed it to car dealership to pick up my car (brake pad had fallen into the rotor :~); made it with 10 minutes before they close. Then transferred all my stuff to my car, then took the rental to the gas station (full tank) and to the rental place; made it with 15minutes before they closed. Whew. Then had to wait 20minutes until they could drive me back to the dealership to drive my car home.

Went home, picked up Becky, went out to eat at Subway, then went to movie theater, intending to watch Nativity Story. Arrived to theater at 7:40pm. Current show started at 6:55, next show at 9:10. So we went home and watched a Christmas movie. On Hallmark. Called Unlikely Angel. Starring Dolly Parton.

Was decent, tho' parts had absolutely atrocious dialogue. My "favorite" was when the dad and 8yr-old son were trying to chop down a Christmas tree. They argue, the son throws the axe to the ground at the dad's feet.

Dad: Grabs son by arm; says "You could've hurt me!"
Matthew: "You're hurting me now!"; runs away crying

Oh, the heartwrenching emotion! :lowlol:

Oh, and the other issue I had with the movie is that every outfit that Parton wore seemed to scream "Hey, look at these!", as if she could hide her pair, especially back when this movie was made. I know they have always been her calling card, but my goodness, it was pretty blatant... :lowlol: And sad.

There's a reason serial killers in movies always go after 16-24 year old women.

Played Kaerik a bit in between praying to the porcelain god. I haven't been that sick in a long time. Felt a little better in the evening, so I hooked up my wireless router and tinkered with WoW on my laptop. Works pretty well. Also watched part 2 of the Lost Room.

i thought it was so they could cast a "hot" actress as the one being endangered and put her in skimpy unlikely clothing while she pursues him?

nothing says brilliant like a cocktail dress in a dark alley pursuing a serial killer :o

The message it sends loud and clear is basically "Paris Hilton is not an anomoly, we really do create these vapid, worthless and completely self-absorbed bitches by the boatload and put them up on pedestals for everyone to fawn over. Please destroy us for the betterment of humanity."

picked up the old cheesy animated d&d cartoon,

I saw this at Best Buy today. The complete series from 1983 (with Willie Ames, better known today as BibleMan!) packaged in a red scaly dragon box with pewter figure attached. It just screamed "Buy me now and placate your inner dork!". I seriously considered it, as I bet my kids would like it. They found a couple of old VHS tapes of TMNT from the 80's I had laying around and they watch them every so often. The other night I came home to my 3-year-old daughter waving plastic ninja swords and shouting "Cowabunga Dude!" while running around the house. Priceless. :D

My son is now obsessed with the fact that Santa Claus is immune to fire. He thinks it is so cool.

This is what happens when Dads don't take questions like "Daddy, will Santa still come down our chimney if there is a fire going?" seriously.

Spent day working from home, checking temperature every so often, feeling sorry for myself. Surfed a few message boards, found the Deep Discount DVD sale, watched bro's kids for a few hours while keeping them off me.

"No. No climbing on my lap. Auntie's got... *gasp* germy cooties! Go watch the movie you just begged me for while I nap on the couch."

Early night.

I think I remember some movie (or maybe it was some dream) where Santa could magically put out the fire before he went down the chimney then when he went back up the fire would start again. Sorta like he puts his finger next to his nose to fly back up the chimney.

Its from "The Lost Room". Most (but not necessarily all) objects from the room have a special power. The eyeglasses inhibit combustion.

Heh, sorry. It's a "Lost Room" reference. Basically, [spoilers ahead] The Eyeglasses are one of the objects from the Lost Room. For some reason they have the ability to inhibit combustion.

That is plain nasty.

Worked a bit trying to get my sick PC back into action. Made some progress but came to the conclusion that the drive is sick. Bought a new 160Gb drive (120's seem to be out of favour nowadays). Spent part of the evening dreaming of really horrible things to do to whoever designed the recovery interface on the XP installation disk. Didn't have time to install the new disk.

Seriously thought about buying a new PC.
