Not much. Lots of talk at work about the UA/CO merger, and other airlines. Will suck if that happens. I don't like unions pretty much. And with Chicago being their main HQ/Hub, we (workers) might get pushed out - IF they do want to merge. Doubt it will happen... I think.
Then again, I dunno if I can live on minimum wage. :(
Played some L2 but not much 'cos spent most of the night in IM with my Brother...
Cleared out the HD some but not much. Got a lot more purging to do... 120GB HD isn't much space these days really, is it?

Last night, played some more WoW in Felwood, finished up all of the quests while I was on which gave me level 55, and put me close to halfway through level 55. Now, I move on to Winterspring and Moonglade. I'm going to Winterspring since I have more quests for that area at the moment. :D
Went to bed a little early, but that was negated by Ben waking up at 2 AM yelling for Mommy who I had to wake because if I would go in there he would cry louder and more for Mommy. And then some other stuff kept me up later than I would've liked.
*sigh*
I tried. :lowlol:

Last night Murgos logged in and headed to the Plaguelands since he was alone. Others did log in later in the night. Actuall got quite a bit of exp last night but didn't advance or get any quests.
One annoying thing happened. While I was healing up after a few battles the server hung up on me. Then it made me wait in the 30 min queue to get back in (if Murgos wasn't in a vulnerable area I would likely not have come back). Since the server hung up on me the game shoulda been fair and let me back in. Oh well...now where did this soapbox come from?
I need to run tonight. And may spend the night working on cleaning house again instead of playing.

Played Kaerik much of the night, completing a handful of STV quests. Also watched Bones, The Lost Room, and Criminal Minds.
Tonight I have to crank out a paper, so I won't be online.

Took the boy to Cub Scouts after dinner. Parents are total morons at times. Basically, at the first grade level (Tiger Scout), you are supposed to STAY and do the activities with your son. Last night we had more than half the parents simply shove their son through the door and then bail as quickly as possible, which is about normal anymore. It was the den leader, me and one other guy that stayed. I ended up doing the craft (a food pyramid out of cardboard) with 3 other boys besides my son. The den leader had his hands full trying to maintain order and crank out another 3 pyramids, and the other guy flat out refused to help anyone but his own kid. The kids who's parents leave usually are the ones that go bat**** insane and start acting up and trashing the place, and with the world being so nutso about kids and discipline anymore I can't even yell at them or grab them to stick them in a chair without fear that I'll be labeled an abuser or worse. I am not a goddamn babysitter for other people's obnoxious children. I plan to air this out with the den leader, then see if we can't get a parent's meeting together where we explain (slowly and using easy words) to these idiots that Cub Scouts isn't a 2 hour daycare.
Anyway, after that I watched a little TV then played in the NC Soft Dungeon Runners beta that I will detail in a separate thread.

Cub Scouts start that young now? When I was a kid, you couldn't become a Cub Scout until you were eight years old (none of this grade-based stuff). My Cub Scout den meetings tyoically lasted 90 minutes.
As for my adventures... Zyzzyva soloed for a bit in the Lesser Faydark, hoping to find page 3 of An Old Memoir. He did see pages 1 and 2, but no page 3. After about 90 minutes of that, he gated to Qeynos, where he sold some stuff. He then joined a LoW group in an instanced zone off the Barren Sky. The group was able to completely clear out the zone.
I won't be on tonight - my department at work is having their year-end party.

lessee. picked up k, then went home and started on the plumbing again.
the two bits i'd picked up (i picked up both sizes, just in case, see):
piece 1 fit over the pipe i had, but the other side was the same size so as a reducer it kinda sucked.
piece 2 fit inside the pipe i had, but the other side was no so much smaller that it just kinda rattled around the pipe i was trying to connect to.
ditched the rubber trap thing, and went back to the hard plastic one, used piece 1 b/c the end of the hard plastic would screw down (the pipe i had had a screw down too ; two females just don't fit together though). then everything fit. cemented piece 1 onto pipe (b/c it fit, but i wasn't confident that it fit so well it wouldn't come off or leak or anything), screwed it all together and turned on the water and ...
well, hell, it actually worked?!!!
logged into eq2 for a bit. took knemo to try to finish splitpaw faction. i was t rying flitch's prank this time. my best round (of 3) got 5 of the 10 crates before i accidentally blew up a gnoll. i think next time I'm just gonna clear the damned place instead of trying to be all sneaky an' shtuff. what kindof prank is it when you go through and KILL dozens of gnolls? flitch's sense of humour is sick, twisted, evil ... i dig him :)
switched to see what tskasse had in her bank/HoE's vault of what knemo needs for advancing his alchemy now he's 20th. then logged off and went to bed at 9:30.

After work I dropped my kid off at Cub Scouts and went home to watch some basketball. ;)
Worked, then got a call from Dodge and spent the rest of the day car shopping (more on that in a seperate thread). I'm a bit stressed out what w/ my job situation not all that concrete anymore, the holidays and now the car. I didn't sleep well last night and this morning I'm feeling sick. I really shouldn't be worried about the car, tho. This isn't a bad time for us to need a new one - nothing big coming up ('cept Xmas), no big emergencies and since we just refinanced we've got some extra cash. But I still am....
I got a call from an old co-worker turned good friend of mine saying he just got an opening in his group so that's good and exciting news.
I also got a chance to watch episodes 1 and 2 of The Lost Room. I like it, fun show.

Trust me, had Warner Cable actually carried ESPNU I would have walked out of the meeting prompty at 7:15pm. At least Cincinnati won the Shootout. Seems the underdog team usually wins that game, it's just been awhile since we were the underdog!

Free Update to Vista Home PremiumApart from the price the only thing that puts me off is the noise potential of a 1Kw power supply. However, the 680i mb gives a lot of room for expansion - you could add another 8800GTX, a second hard drive and a Matrox graphics effects card (in the 8x PCI-X slot) for a really mean video editing rig as well as a monster game machine.

Went in to work, started feeling bad again in the evening. Spent restless night hoping fever would break and that would be the end of it... nope. 37.6C this morning.
Needless to say... didn't go into work today.

Ya can't do anything for a virus. Ears and throat are fine. Although the light sniffles of yesterday turned into some thick mucusy stuff overnight, it's clear.
The moment I get an earache or the mucus turns yellow... I'll be at the doc's asking for ABs.

A really hot curry.
Clears all bodily passages and caveties. Also, ff it is hot enough, you are in too much agony to worry about much else for a few hours afterwards!

The best egg nog I've had thus far in life is Moover's brand Low-Fat Egg Nog. Great taste, only 4% of your daily fat intake per serving, and inexpensive. Unfortunately I've only found it sold at one place, Schnucks grocery store.
Egg nog spiked with various alcoholic bevvies take away from the flavor, imo.

Try this experiment: Test each of the components of egg nog to see what it is you can't swallow. Start with the brandy. If you can get that down your throat, stop here and just drink it straight.
