Its me. I'm back. Or still around. Or whatever.

Have been extraordinarily busy at work (which is one helluva change from this last summer of doing nothing). And then too durn tired at home to get on the computer much. And yes, leng, I'm still running Ubuntu at home. For what little it gets used right now.

Other than that, not much has changed. Still working at the IT Call Center. Still through Kelly Services as a temp, but at least it was extended from Dec 8th to March 2nd. And quite expect to get a permanent position before that time comes. Will probably be at the call center, but wouldn't mind if something completely different comes up either.

Not dealing too well with the whole 'winter' thing. Its been damn cold for awhile. Has kinda shut down my cycling schedule. Not that its too cold to go ride, but its too cold to go ride with what little gear and clothing I have. Next winter I'll be more prepared, and able to ride much more. It'll be good for my sanity. But even though its cold, it is kinda nice to have seasons again, compared to just changing the calendar pages in SoCal.

WB Z. Glad to hear things are going well.

I'm not sure I could handle that much winter myself.

Cold wind up your kilt eh? Brrrr...

Glad to see your doing well. I'm sure that "temp" job will turn permenant if they know talent when they see it. Have a Merry Christmas and a safe, happy and successful New Year.

Hehw winter and the kilts. Haven't been wearing them nearly as much since I'm not wearing them to work. (Yet. I'll explore that possibility if'n I get permanent.) But they're really not any colder than jeans. Unless its windy. And its often REAL windy here. Except in the baking heat of the summer when you'd want some wind.

For general walking around outside, I have gotten somewhat used to the cold. I'm not totally bundled up when its 25F, just a long sleeve shirt and a light coat. Gloves are nice though, if not to keep the hands warm then to insulate from touching a cold steering wheel when driving. What I'm really lacking is enough warm stuff for my feet when cycling.
