I know it's early, but we had our holiday today with the kids (who are now on their way to their dad's).

I got some great stuff, but my favorite, by far, is the attached.

I, literally, had my mouth hanging open for quite a while on it. Please note, unlike Rubi's other work, the entire thing was done by him, including the entire background (rather than using screenshots as he's done in the past).

Wow. :floored::eek2::!

Nice. Well, have not had much yet, I did let April have one of her gifts since the snow and other issues delayed he mom coming down.

We now have Mouse, the Chinchilla residing next to the ferrets (Boxer, Nipper, Sarah, and Sonja) and she will be getting a second one (to be named Lumpy, somewhat thanks to me for calling them lumps). Mouse cheered her up quite well, and the best part, I got him for a fraction of what I would have in the pet stores.

Don't have any pics of him yet however here is a pis that is close for those that are not familure with these unusual critters:

Chinchilla's are cute. Just don't let the ferrets get the idea he is a present for them, though ...

Well, in anticipation of getting a house and doing some work, ended up with a Ryobi 18V cordless setup: drill, saw, and flashlight. Along with a large selection drill set with goodies.

And an under-desk cable organizer for when I finally get a place to set up my L-shaped glass-top desk.

It was a merry electronic Christmas. Joy, god bless her, did get me a 360 as I had suspected. It came w/ Gears of War. Her dad (at her suggestion) got me Loco Roco for the PSP and Okami for PS2. My secret santa (my brother-in-law) got me Call of Duty 3 for the 360, Superman Returns (DVD) and the Firefly DVD set. I've got a lot to keep me busy for the near (and probably far) future. Unfortunately, I have to be in the office this week so I can't play any of them. ;(

For Hanukkah we got a new HD-TV and an Xbox360 with about 6 games or so. I also got a few fairies and atty got some dragons.

For Christmas Day I got another xbox game, which of course doesn't work with the 360 at the moment, I'm hoping that it will have a patch in the next month or so that will fix it. Zelda for the Wii (which we don't have yet, but will sometime in the new year) from my inlaws, Sims2 pets for the Mac, a couple of pewter dragons from my inlaws, and an iPod Video 80 gig, yay!

Atty got tickets to Trans-Siberian Orchestra on the 30th, a couple of dragons, James Bond Scene It, all 4 James Bond Collector Edition Sets, and a couple other small odds and ends.

We also got a Set of King Sheets, a King Blanket (my Mom got my name), and new floors from my parents for Hanukkah, and atty got an iPod shuffle from my family name drawing for people and gifts.

Overall, a nice holiday with a bunch of various gifts which we wanted.

Oh, duh, I posted this in the daily...oops.

Well the big items for us were a knitting machine for Carol, Firefly for me and a Culinary Torch for both of us along with some creme brulet mix so we could try it right away (ultimately I'll move on to making from scratch but this was pretty good from the kit...) I'll need to find some other uses for the torch too...its not too good at lighting candles. It tends to melt the wax while blowing too fast for the wick to light right away...could be used to make nice dribbly candles tho...

And my parents gave me an extremely generous check which will become an xbox 360 in a few days. :)

AWESOME, Rubi!!!

I got a week at Disney with my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew!

Other than that, just stocking stuffers, mostly. We decided to have a very light Christmas given that it's sandwiched between two Disney trips :)

Very cool pic Serani and Rubi!

I didn't really get a whole lot this Christmas, my kids made out like bandits though, which is fine by me. The only "big" gift I got was a couple of gift cards to Lowes that came with grill accessories, the obvious green light for me to buy a new grill for the new year. Our old one has served us well for 10+ years, so it's time. I also got a really nice drill bit set that I desperately needed (my old ones are worn to nubs).

Lets see, I got a few things. There was a desk fountain, electric beard trimmer, gift certificates for Cinemark and Salt Grass Steakhouse, plus an offer to baby sit (wow!) and a $50.00 certificate to GameStop.

I burned the GameStop card at lunch today with the purchase of a second PS2 controller (mini) for Jordan, Super Monkey Ball or something like that, and a game for the PSP, of which I now cannot remember the name...

If I was to type out everything I got for Christmas, I would be here until Easter but some of my happy items are:

DVD Burner
Clothes
iPod Nano (coming tomorrow)
Various jewelry (lots of gorgeous necklaces)
some PC and DS games

We had an amazing Christmas and it won't really end until the New Year and I couldn't be happier and it has nothing to do with all the wonderful gifts we received.

Not squat, so I bought myself an AWD Mitsubishi Outlander LS as a present for making it through a crap year somewhat sane. I can self justify it because the locals are even less inclined to plow snow properly than the morons where I had been living.

Well, we had our Christmas yesterday (had to wait for April's mom to get gifts).

I had gotten:
a few DVD's to continue my Superhero based collection:
Superman Returns
Batman Begins
My Super Ex-Girlfriend

And 1 non super one:
Ice Age 2

a pair of jeans that fit

2 transformers: Cybertron 'Bendy' Prime, and Starwars Clone Trooper

a Lego Chess set (quite cool)

A griddle (Yea, can now make pancakes properly) (from April's Mom)

and a 1/6 scale replica of the Master Sword and Hyilan Shield from Zelda (much coolness)

a few oriniments (shaped like Lego bricks) quite cool.

April and I got a chest freezer from my folks.

For April, I already told you about the Chinchilla (named Mouse, he has gotten quite attached already to April).

I had also gotten her a new shower head and pipes to install it on the tub. Still a small leak but I am working on it.

A Giant 'Hair Ball' (it is kind of like a really big koosh ball but inflated)

A Naruto video game

a nice fleece throw

some sculpty (clay) with tools.

Not sure if I have forgotten anything.

For Christmas I received an outpatient procedure that I'm still recovering from. :~ Feeling much better tho' and, in fact, am at work today for the first time. Working full day today and half day tomorrow, then start again on the 2nd as normal.

Seriously ;), had a wonderful Christmas weekend! Friday night, spent with Becky's dad's side, Sunday with Becky's mom's side, and Monday with my side. Great, relaxing family time! Really enjoyed it.

I also received some much-needed "big" items, such as a new vacuum cleaner (ours smells like burning rubber every time we use it, and that's with a new belt :eek!:) and a four-drawer filing cabinet (!!! :goodie!:). Also received a couple gift cards, Trivia Pursuit '80s, a wonderful assortment of movies (PotC2, Muppet's Christmas Carol 50th Anniv edition, A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Special (the newer one with Joan Cusack; now I need the original and I'll be happy!), four Mickey Christmas movies (Once Upon A..., Twice Upon A..., Christmas Carol, and ... one other one)), a new shirt (looks and fits great), and some money (which will go directly onto the Kohl's card, today, to finish buying several gifts ). Also received some trouble since I, I mean Mr. C, gave four gifts to Becky, despite alleged promises that Mr C doesn't recall making that there'd be no gifts this year.

Edit: Forgot to include the WoW Worship 2007 cd, which I'm listening to now for the first time. Absolutely wonderful.

Harry Potter Scene It:mrgreen:    (THANK YOU, AGAIN ATTY and KIIR!!!)

Da Vinci Code

A new jacket that I've been eyeing (a little small on me though)

A NERF maverick.

A copy of Abarat, Days of Magic, Nights of War(awesome!!)

A copy of Ready or Not (awesome book)

A copy of World of Warcraft, and my own account:eek2:

Well, for various family reasons it was a pretty miserable Xmas season, but I've cheered myself up somewhat by splashing out on a new PC. I posted the details earlier, but just to rekindle the envy I'll hit the highlights

Intel Extreme Edition Quad Core processor.
2Gb 900MHz memory
1Tb disk
768MB nVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX
Creative X-Fi extreme audio
Gigabit ethernet

Asus 680i based MB can take another 16x video card plus an 8x physics processor or video effects card (I have my eye on some of the Matrox products).

I'm in the process of installing/configuring so I haven't stressed the machine yet. Soon, though ...
