Murgos and I played with Belaine yesterday. I hope she had a good time. I know we did!

Then I had to stop to help Jennifer prepare for company. Her Folk Group came over for a Holiday potluck dinner and present exchange and to practice for this weekend. While they practiced downstairs, I had a guitar lesson upstairs.

After my lesson, they were still going so I played some Freelancer. It's SO theuraputic, sometimes, to just blast stuff :lowrazz: .

Got to bed after midnight *blech*. Up at 3am with the cat yakking all over the place. Up at 5:45 for work. Cat was still yakking.

Called the vet. Gotta take the cat in this morning.

The joys of pet ownership.

Met the wife and kids at my mother-in-laws for dinner. My daughter decided she wanted to stay the night at grandma's, so I only brought the boy home. We watched an episode of "Sapce:Above and Beyond" (he really likes the show so far) and then he went to bed. I got in some Guild Wars, bumping another of my heroes up to 20th and a couple more to 19th and 18th. Not long now until they are all 20th finally. Played some Mediecal 2:TW after that, then went to bed. Woke up at 4:00am sick again. Still feel a little out of sorts at work even now...yuck.

Kris and I had a night out as her parents watched the kids. We tried to get to bed early, but the night did not go well.

Rubi's OS install had gotten hosed, so he was busy trying to get that straightened out (tried repair and just ended up re-installing). So, I tried to play by myself last night, but things just weren't working out. Logged Serani in and went to kill orcs but they ate me for breakfast. After running the second time, I took it as a sign and switched to Maevis. Only major quest she has is to kill sentries. A blue quest with orange mobs.:evileye: After the second death, I took THAT as a sign that it wasn't my night to play. Putzed with Bejeweled and Super Collapse after that.

After work I played more Gears of War. Got to the end guy but apparently I don't have the best weapon to beat him w/ and w/o it he's just beyond me. Silly.

Joy got home late so I watched a bunch of college football and watched Bobby Knight not get his 880th career win.

Traded shifts, so that a co-worker can take his wife out for her birthday. Bleh, I'm too nice. Maybe I should resolve and be more mean.

Played L2, working on the class quest for the young assassin (she's a fighter right now, but will be an official assassin soon).

Thinking of taking a small break from the game 'cos of a headache to rest the eyes, I ended up falling asleep in the middle of gaming. Came back to see several IM's in the game (L2 has a built-in MSN Msgr). Instead of going to sleep, I went and played a couple more hours before crashing for real...

Gonna try and get some shopping done this weekend...

Still looking at a new laptop (Dell?) and a new desktop machine. Or just use the money towards a trip for some research/R&R.

Saw the doc. yesterday and got some Anti-biotics to try to kick this upper resp junk.

Had argument with garage door. Garage door won to tune of side mirror replacement required. Scarey to think of other people out there driving while a little under the weather. Heh.

Which weapon do you need?

I've noticed that whenever you need the hammer of Dawn, it's always laying around somewhere close at hand.

The torque bow. I'm sure it's possible w/o it I'm just not good enough. I'll give him another shot but more than likely I'll have to go to the easier difficulty to have a chance.

Long story, but to shorten it a bit. I managed to ding Charity to level 59 over the Christmas break. Hopefully tonight I will continue working her towards 60. I got a lot of quests that I want to finish up. Especially the Ancient Egg quest. Hopefully, I can pull some people together to do this quest. :D

Nice Dorf sammich with a Pally in the middle

Still enjoying the week off.

Yesterday we finished up the new closet shelving. Far more usable than the pile of junk that was in there before, and it got the fire safe out of the garage, a little more room out there now. We finished up on that a bit after 9pm. So nice to be actually DOING something though. Its been too cold for me to get out and ride, so this was a nice replacement for getting some activity. We're continuing to look at houses, not much out there now. Kinda expect that lots of stuff will come on the market in the first few weeks of January.

Does Windoze repair ever work?

More or less finished sorting out the fallout from my OS collapse, except I can't seem to find my Nikon PicturePerfect disk. Just in time for the new machine ...

DNP - We picked up some belated Christmas presents for Ryan and myself (we spent all our money on our family and had to wait until after Christmas to get our own presents) and then went to dinner with Ryan's sister and her boyfriend. By the time we got home it was pretty late and we were busy loading up our new iPods with songs.

It was a lovely evening, even if we didn't get to play EQ2.

Made a trip to Fargo with my old man. Bought a bunch of books and some CDs. Came back and played WoW for most of the evening, getting Calliandra almost to 33.

There's a torque bow in the last car before you get to RAAM. Right side of the car right across the aisle from the other weapons pickups. You won't end up with full ammo, but worst case you'll only have to replay back from where you boarded the train.

I haven't tried beating him on anything other than "casual" though. I'm not a masochist, so I tend to play shooters these days on the easiest difficulty setting. Still a great game.

Overall, my only complaint about the game is not being able to take out a berserker without the hammer. It's silly - I can bring down a corpser with normal weapons, but not a berserker.
