Without warning, a small starship emerges from a distortion field of immense size.
Captain: Status!
Ensign: We appear to have escaped the time distortion field. Events appear to be moving at their appropriate speed.
Captain: Yes, but what caused the time distortion?
Science Officer: According to my readings, the actions of the UGO have unbalanced time and events in that sector.
Tactical Officer: Grraaah! The UGO are a vile race of would-be information merchants...worse than those big-earred freaks and their rules of acquisition!
First Officer: He may be right. The UGO have been causing trouble for years, but this is unbelievable.
Captain: So it would seem. Ensign, set a course away from that sector.
Tactical Officer: The UGO are clearly threatening our safety. May I fire at Will, captain?
First Officer: That's not funny. I was in sick bay for weeks after your last "misunderstanding"...
Tactical Officer: I don't *snicker* know what you *hehehe* mean, "sir".
First Officer: *glares*
Captain: He does have a point though. It would be best to keep our tactical skills sharp, in case the UGO attempt to invade this sector. Ensign, report to holodeck 2 for assignment as Moving Acquisition Practice Officer.
Ensign: What?
Science Officer: Target.

Anway, I'm glad to see LoW has migrated over to these boards. In fact, there are a number of features here that I find to be an improvement over Stratics.
