I tried kicking off the Factions campaign last night, but despite picking up several side quests in the main city, I accomplished nothing. I cannot seem to figure out how to jumpstart the storyline missions, and there's nothing in my quest log relating to it. I'll try consilting the wiki and see what I need to do.

Would you guys rather play tonight or tomorrow? With LOST over for the season, it makes little difference to me.

My preference is tomorrow. Although it would probably be beneficial to my mental health to NOT watch the NHL try to screw my Wings again (yes, I'm bitter), I kinda feel invested at this point. ;(

That said, I can go tonight if it works better for you and/or GravenStone.

I'm indifferent, tomorrow works fine for me if you want to indulge your NHL masochism. I should point out that I will be out the next two week after this one with road trippage.

Tomorrow it is boys. I will try and get the party started in factions tonight so that we can at least start off on a mission or something. If not, we can always try to tackle a post-completion mission from Prophecies, Nioghtfall or EotN.

Sorry for the no-show, guys. We're experiencing an ISP outage at home currently. They're supposed to come look at it today. :|

Sorry, didn't realize my connectiveity problems from a couple weeks ago were contagious. As it is, last night was a wash. RE crashed out of game completely, then got back in and discovered the glitch in the quest. I whined a bit about how much I hated that two group mission (which I still need to Master) and he then opted to study up on the mission and prepare for next week.

Which leads me to remind that I will be travelling the next two Wednesday/Thursdays so I won't be available.

Well, that gives me time to check on the status of heroes for my assassin, so at least we might be able to coordinate two groups with mostly players and heroes. Destrid has (obviously) completed the mission. I don't think he's mastered it either, though.

After much travelling here and there I finally figured out what the problem was getting the Factions Campaign kicked off. I could not understand why it wouldn't show up in either Lion's Arch (the start off point) or in the city in Canthia (the location of the first mission).

Seems quite some time ago I had completed the Lion's Arch portion of the kickoff quests, but stopped short of talking to the final NPC on the docks when you "get off the boat". This led to a situation where I could not start the Factions campain (NPCs were not "active" yet) and also could not do the kick-off (as I'd already done most of it). When I finally found the Dockmaster NPC deep inside the instance where you're dropped off at the end of the Lion's Arch quests (had to come at him from across the zone since I wasn't being dropped off by boat) I was able to chat with him and ZING, quests advanced. Sigh.

So then it was off to rap with Mhenlo about stuff, then to find Master Toejam (or whatever his buddy is named), which led to a seemingly impassable maze of city streets. It was late by that point, so I decided to bone up on the Wiki to try and solve the maze, then hit the sack.

Sounds like we should plan for Factions stuff sometime in July!

FYI, minion masters really come into their own in Factions until the final mission. Lots of exploitable corpses, and many missions can support 2-3 necros with no real shortage of...uh, supplies. The meatwall will be a prominently featured tactic for us. :lowrazz:
