Were we all good for this week or do we still have someone out? I can play tonight or tomorrow, either one. I'm still pretty much at the same point in the Factions campaign, trying to find Master Whatshisname in the twisty maze of city streets.

Ah, the joys of Factions city navigation... I should be around, although I can't say I'd be much help navigating either, since I haven't played Factions in some months.

I should be around tonight. I'll second GravenStone - city navigation in Factions is stupidly frustrating at times. The outlying regions are much better.

Tonight it is then. I may be a little late, 9:15ish possibly. It's summer so the kids go to bed later.

We don't have to do Factions, we could do some post-completion missions someplace else. I'm good either way.

Do you realize how atypical yesterday was? I never died. Not once.

How odd.....

Necro powah! :lowlol:

In terms of mission completion, I don't think we're going to struggle much in Factions. (Master rewards may occasionally be a problem, with the omnipresent timer and whatnot.) The campaign is pretty much custom-made for (1) minion masters and (2) AE nukers.

So that makes me superfluous then?

Last night was pretty cool. We totally rocked that mission, and would have finished at more than a minute under Master time if we hadn't gotten hung up a couple of times waiting for spawns and finding our way through the maze. I was just glad you guys actually got something out of the deal since it's pretty obvious these early missions are miserable.

Thanks for the help!

Following up on GravenStone's comment in the daily thread, regarding frequent dirt naps and necromagnetism...

What is your equipment like? Mobs in GW default to flocking to characters that have a low armor rating and low hit point total. Taking damage will cause them to switch aggro, but initial targets are selected based on those two things. Necros, eles, and (I think) monks have the lowest base armor rating. Look to increase armor and hit points via runes, inscriptions, and handhelds to become less noticeable.

I'll have to check to get exact numbers, but the armor is the highest non-vanity tier so the ratings should be sufficient for a 20th level character. But I'm using the runes rather than regular armor to bulk up my energy pool. I may have to play with that. My runes and such are also intended primarily to building the energy pool, plus a +3 to Curses (primary stat). My weapons are the green Curse rod and off-hand (EoTN final and Sorrows Furnace, respectively).

plus a +3 to Curses (primary stat).

Superior rune, or major rune plus hat?

Superior on the hat, so yes actually +4.

Makes sense. I only use a major, so my hit points are a bit higher than yours. Otherwise I'd be spending as much time in top-down mode as you. :lowrazz:
