I saw this at the D&D site:

Build: Aerialist Rogue

All rogues are known for their agility and daring, but you take both to the next level. Ducking under a giant?s club isn?t enough; you leap over it and cartwheel to safety. You?re a masterful mover and an expert top-story burglar, using your abilities to tumble into the fray, into high openings, and out of all sorts of tight spots. Dexterity is your primary ability score, because you rely on it for your attacks and acrobatic stunts. Charisma is secondary for you, useful in avoiding opportunity attacks if you employ the Artful Dodger tactic. Strength serves you well as a tertiary ability, helping your Athletics checks in particular.Suggested Feat: Defensive Mobility (Human feat: Sure Climber)

Suggested Skills: Acrobatics, Athletics, Bluff, Perception, Stealth, Thievery

Suggested At-Will Powers: deft strike, riposte strike

Suggested Encounter Power: fox?s gambit*

Suggested Daily Power: handspring assault*

*New option presented in Martial PowerLevel 1 Encounter Exploits

A distracting stab is all you need to foil your enemy?s focus and step into a better position.

This also begs the question to Sagar. This supplemental book is coming out in November. Are we going to stick to core rules? I doubt anyone feels strongly either way.

Let's call it patch 1.1 :D

I think it also raises the question on how often they are going to do this? I'm sure we don't want to spend our time chasing the next supplement if they are going to have one every 6 months.

I don't plan to buy it but if someone really wants to modify their character and will provide me the details, I will consider it.

There has already been a re-release of the core books to include errata. Unless I keep getting gift certificates with which to buy more books, WoTC can kiss my [censored] [censored] ass.

You know...

Now that I look at the new build. I have to say... wtf? Aerialist Rogue???

Why not come out with something more interesting like a bard or monk? Call me a traditionalist, but they are more interesting than an aerialist rogue. I also would have liked to see a beefier illusionist character. The old ones were weak, but I put together a character class that was pretty kick butt back when I played a lot. Let's see them put some characters out there with some interesting skills and some power behind them.

I can cut and paste some bard goodness I think. Give me a bit.

The first book, Martial Power, deals with melee. It adds the Barbarian class (I think) but also adds tons of new powers to fighters, rogues, rangers, paladins and warlords. From what I have read, the powers are more different in the flavor they give the characters than the functionality.

Bah I cannot find the Bard article now. The Bard powers are for moving and distracting opponents and buffing allies. They can use instruments as implements. They can wear chain and use martial ranged weapons.

Given Draknor's comment about second printing being required to address various errata in the core classes, perhaps they're not taking themselves seriously enough?
