Is it possible there are four upper floor windows facing the sea? Or maybe 8? (b/c of the #2 one)

My guess would be lantern signals.

Wow, I bet you just got it. But it seems insane that he would need that many light signals from an abandoned house.
What do I II III signify? Floors?

I would guess that he used the window that we found the scratch marks on the window sill. It was the one on the second floor.
I, II, III, I would guess means the step in the messaging process. There is probably some message received from the ship. Although, I am not sure what the 2 means in the second line.
Whatever it is, we probably won't have much time to figure it out when they arrive. :D

"Vhy don't ve ask somevun in town vhat it might mean? Maybe a sailor or zhat old fellow. It also looks like za x's might be short, und za dashes might be longs... Und za '2' might mean to repeat zat vun..." (ooc: Brun doesn't know if morse code exists, but that's what it looks like... I'll have to think of what the I, II and III mean)
Edit: Maybe it's a "sign-countersign" thing? Whichever one the ship starts with, we signal the next one?
Regardless we should start watching for ships.

Yeah, we found one room with lantern marks on the window.
I suspect it is a call and answer code. open-close-open kind of thing.

Could be. We should make sure that none of the other windows had marks on them.

Vun) long short short short
Two) short long short long (repeat)
Zree) long long long
I schtill do not know vich to use vhen, but maybe vhe see vhich vhun za ship shows first?"

Right, thats what I mean. A lantern is operated in this manner by opening and closing the shutter. It's binary, you've only got open and close.
So it's a open,close,open,close,opeeeeeeeeeeeen,close type situation.

Remember, he and one of the local merchants ran out of town shortly after he was defeated. I doubt he will come back alone. He would come back in force if anything. And since his operation is busted. I think he would abandon it for survival reasons. :D

Easier for him to set up somwhere else than come back and roust us. He has to assume we told the mayor.

Brun thinks maybe she should find someone in town to teach her a thing or two about boats and ships. She'll head down to the docks when Sagar gets back.

I know there were some days there where me and another one in our group got some basic sailing lessons.

3. More studies. Battle of the Birds. Wendy and Brun work on weapons skills. Baladir and Fandango get sailing lessons. Scorpio goes to Diert to trade.

I'll go with Brun and hook her up with lessons. I'll try to learn more.

I know there were some days there where me and another one in our group got some basic sailing lessons.
While the mental image of Brun down at the docks trying to "flirt" some sailors into giving her lessons immediately jumped to mind, it was quickly replaced by her standing on the dock, hand on hips, two KO'd sailors lying at her feet, screaming "OK, I SCHTILL NEED SAILING LESSONS AND FROM NOBODY WHO GONNA GET FRESH ZIS TIME!!!"
