Brun wouldn't mind a healing potion to replace the one she gave to the kid.

PS: That last bit looks like the trigger word for the wand.

Let's just liquidate what isn't immediately useful back in town and split the gp.

Don't forget that there is more ship to check out. The lizardman headquarters and the hold for example.

Shiz

Right. I just don't want to lose all this stuff as the thread lengthens.

Asharad

yeah, this is a good idea.

I am distributing the potions on the character sheets now. Brun and Fandango get a healing. Baladir gets the cure disease because I still have one. I might as well keep the neut. poison as well unless someone feels differently.

I nominate Trask group treasurer, cuz well... he's a money guy. Is there a Ye Olde Tyme Stocke Marquet?

Shiz
12th December 2008, 04:26 PM
During the updating, I noticed Fan and Brun had one but I think Brun drank hers already. Fand is now listed with 2.

Also, Baladir has one and a Speed potion. Did we ever get a ruling on what that actually means since there is no Haste in 4E?

DinbinFanfoom
12th December 2008, 04:28 PM
Brun gave hers to the dying kid, yes. And she doesn't even LIKE kids! :D

Trask is the CFO of Manchester's United.

Trask is the CFO of Manchester's United.

Either that or we need a level 15 Accountant character.

Oh, and I'm not complaining. Have so much crap to sell is a good thing. :D

You guys have your own estate, your own town (of sorts) and now the beginnings of your own navy. Pretty soon you'll be running the whole joint. *Than* the fun can begin.

We should probably open an Olde Tyme Banke Aquounte if such a beast exists. :D (We've been playing too many MMO's)

Regarding the boat: Yeah, it'd be a great sale, but what of seeing if the Baron would have any use for it?

Asharad

**** this going into caves and getting stabbed ****, let's just retire.

Ah, no. We've paid with our blood on this.

I seriously think we should hold onto the excess. Remember the house is going to take at least another 3 - 5K to get it up to speed.

We can decide if we want to use the extra to help the local people. This would be a good thing, and we could be looking to raise our reputation with the local population.

And don't forget there is going to be a time when we might need work done for magic items that would cost us a lot. We could also use some of the money to set up some businesses in town so that their profit could help maintain the house and Michael. Heck, we could hook Michael up with his own construction business, etc.

Definitely hang onto the cash. We can use it in the future. Houses are expensive especially if some evil doer comes knocking. We have enough of them sneaking around right now.

Note: This adventure had alot more cash than I would normally feel comfortable giving out at this level. It also had a relative dirth of magic.

You can expect, for the next few adventures, that money will be tightly restricted but magic will be more prevalent. Just wanted you to know.

If Solak or I get the Enchant Item ritual, we will burn through cash like butter. I htink it is a level 6 ritual though.

Well, some of *you* paid in blood for it. Some of us stayed out of harm's way. ;)

True, but most adventuring groups don't take on the renovation of a house, which I think is cool, but a load that most adventurers at our level would not undertake. I think the cash will go faster than we think.

Overall, I think it's cool that it is working out for us, and that you want to keep a balance in the game as well.

Before we lose it, what was the final "split" for that adventure? (After party, supplies, renovations, etc).

We'll all need to update our individual gold values.

Asharad
14th January 2009, 03:49 PM
Jeez, we are rich.

We should ask the baron for a charter to open a bank or something. Start lending out money around here, build up the economic base of our little home base.

Or is that ridiculous and not something we really do in D&D?

(I was kidding when I started this post but it sorta turned into an actual idea.)

Brun was thinking more along the lines of building a vault in our house. Brun doesn't think quite so big, I guess.

Lycos
14th January 2009, 04:12 PM
A question for Sagar. Is this amount to include the costs of renovating the whole house now?

And when I say renovating the house, does that include putting new furniture back into the place? If not, then it might be cool for us to determine the price for laying the place out in cheaper stuff, medium and exclusive furniture, so that we can pick how we want the house furnished, etc.

Oh, and I am all for putting in a huge vault as well. I would prefer it to be boosted by some magic charms, etc. to protect it from magical opening as well.

Sagar
14th January 2009, 04:22 PM
The cost I gave you was just to get the house structurally whole and weather tight. It does not include furnishings of any kind.

DinbinFanfoom
14th January 2009, 04:26 PM
We should probably get a vault, and then let the finger-wagglers lock it up.

Lycos
14th January 2009, 04:30 PM
Sagar,

How do you want to do the furnishings costs then?

I'm sure we want to have beds and tables, etc.

Shiz
14th January 2009, 05:03 PM
We already paid for the structural work. Why do we have to split this? If you want to buy something, then just ask. Brun can buy her potions and then replenish her personal cash from the hoard. We should all run with 200-250gp cash.

Everyone, I would think.

Everyone, I would think.

I haven't proposed splitting. All I'm saying is that there is going to be a cost to furnish the house. It would be easy if Sagar asked how fancy we wanted to go, and gave us a price for finishing up the house.

Dinbin was asking what the split was on the previous page.

Lycos

As far as splitting goes, with this large sum of money, it's not necessary. Ask and more than likely ye shall receive. :D

DinbinFanfoom

OK, so if we wanna embrace Marxism, I'm OK with that. :D I just hadn't assumed that given our history. Not a big deal.

My main worry was that we were carrying around a lot of money that could be easily plot... er... stolen or somesuch. I agree that having 200 or so on each of us and the rest in some sort of vault would be best.

Don't come crying to Brun when she drinks away the lot, though. :P
