What worked, what didn't, what did you like, what did you hate?
Suggestions, comments, and requests?
I thought the first 2 skill challenges went rather well. The third, however, I wasn't quite so keen on. Might just be cause I was all set for this random encounter if you failed and you blasted through it like nobody's business.
I was fairly frustrated with one thing though - after the 3rd challenge - the party just ... stopped. I'm not sure what can be done to keep things moving when you're at a decision point like that.
I don't want to push you down any particular path (choo choo!), but I am thinking that extended periods of standing around with the thumbs up the donkey will result in time elapsing and potential consequences (monster preparedness, for example). Not *in* combat, of course - but outside of encounters...
Perhaps the group needs to establish a caller and a secondary caller who will be able to decide what the party is doing? Because there are going to be places where you have to decide which way to go, whether you want to explore first or go right in, etc., and if you all wait for everyone to chime in to reach consensus, you're going to find the progress to be halting and erratic.
Of course, if you all are good with that, no problem! I'd like to keep things moving along, but if my pace is faster than the group can handle, I'll cope and we'll just deal with stalled time.
