Tonight I've got my son's baseball game followed by a late cub scout meeting to build rockets to launch at the annual picnic Sunday. It's going to be 9:30 by the time I get home, which means I'll be recording the LOST season finale. Tomorrow (Game Night) my son has another baseball game (rainout makeup game) and then my wife will be wanting to watch LOST right after Survivor ends. Normally I'd just catch up on the LOST on the weekend, but it's the Season Finale and I'm worried someone will spoil it for me (and I want to see it ASAP).

So, I'm out this week. Have fun storming the Ooze Pit or the Drudge Dungeon or whatever you decide on.

I'm likely out as well. Game seven of the Wings/Ducks series, and unless Neidermayer gets suspended for activities in the post-game scrum last night he's gonna get trucked repeatedly. I need to see that. ;)

And the streak continues unabated. Guess I'll see everyone next week (unless I screw up, again).

The dungeons will still be there next week I'm sure.

Hehe... I'm still nowhere L20 yet. :D

Still trying to find a right build for my Ele/Ran. I want to concentrate on Cold (Water?) but... Hrmm... What about the Pet skill?

To be honest, skils aren't that crucial in the building portions of your character. Once you're 20 and have level appropriate armor, then you can tweak your builds dependent upon your play style and foes. Besides, if you try a build and it fails miserably, you just go back to the nearest outpost/town, rebuild and try again.

I would suggest however, that if you want a pet, you get one early and level it consistently. Since pets have to be levelled over time, you can count on your pet dying early and often as it painfully grows if you wait until you're 20 before working on it, since it will likely be 8-15 levels lower than you (depending on where you tame it from).

I still have my baby tiger... she's like, one level below me. I think. There are better out there, right?

Type of pet is largely cosmetic. The only real difference is type of damage (slashing vs. piercing), which doesn't have much effect on PvE gameplay. Pick what you like. (Also, with the recent addition of the menagerie, you can change pets if you want something new.)

Most pets will be level 5 when initially tamed and will have to be levelled up. There are a few that are already higher, though - the Black Moa bird and Black Widow spider are level 20, and there are a few tigers and white tigers that are level 15. The tigers are in the area of ranger boss mobs, though, and are frequently tamed by those as soon as you get in range.
