Brunhilde moves briskly towards the fallen wererat and, drawing back her axe, swings a mighty blow at a VERY surprised looking wererogue. Her attack connects (20 vs AC-2) as her weapon rakes down the wererogue's arm (14 damage).

Selmik remains unconcious and does not regenerate this round.

Baladir points his sword at the wererogue and, as blood drips from the blade, shouts "Drop your weapon and you will not be harmed!" (Diplo 1).

Realizing his faux pas, he quickly lowers the sword and repeats his statement (not realizing that only one attempt per round is allowed. Save the astral speech for next round if you want.)

Fandango attacks DR2 with a flourish (28 vs AC) and slashes it with deadly effect (12 damage). Dire rat 2 falls lifeless to the floor.

The wererogue stabs out with his silver dagger - impaling Selmik's hand to the floor.
He then shifts backwards as he brings up his sword in a defensive posture (+2 to all defenses).

"Are you all Fricking MENTAL? I can't belive I'm risking my life to help RETARDS!"

"I'm starting to side with the rat here, guys."

OOC: if he knows how fighter marking works, he won't shift away. Unless Brun can "pull a punch" and not trigger her auto-attack when he shifts? Brun would prefer if he not shift away... like to keep him at arm's reach. :D Brun's auto attack on a shift would (if it hits) both do damage and cancel his move... you can see why I ask you if you're sure. :D I don't REALLY want to hit him, but I don't want him scampering off, either.

"Are you all Fricking MENTAL? I can't belive I'm risking my life to help RETARDS!"

Mental, no.

Lower your weapon!

We have a mission down here, and it's to kill ourselves a vampire. We were sent by others as well who would like to see her re-dead. Who are you, and who's side are you on? From your actions I don't think you are on the vampires side.

If, Brun insists on attacking, I will have to help defend the wererogue. I did promise. He's not attacking which is sort of what I needed him to do.

The back and forth discussions can't really occur well until you are out of battle. You have one more rat.

Who's turn is it?

Brun can't wait to hear the wererogue explain how he equates stabbing us and throwing crap at us to "helping". This oughta be good!

Baladir will not divert his attention at this point. It's up to the casters and Fandango to kill the rat.

While keeping his eyes on the fallen caster and the rogue, Solak waves his hand over his shoulder, as if shooing a fly.

- Illusory Ambush; +7 vs Will, 1d6+5 psychic dmg, target takes -2 to attack rolls until end of my next turn

Solak casually lofts magical energies at the remaining dire rat and (13 vs will) it is affected. It thrashes about nipping at imagined foes and bites itself instead (9 damage).

Amaril curses the rat and blasts the rat (21 vs Ref), burning it badly (15 damage). The rat is bloodied.

The rat tries to bite Trask but (14 vs AC) is easily rebuffed.
End of round 10.

Baladir will watch Brun, and try to point her to go kill the rat. :D

Since I did not make an attack last round, if she attempts to attack the wererogue, I will try to intercept her.

I don't think the map reflects accurately where Brun is...

Brun will toss an axe backwards at DR3 (+11 vs AC, 1d6+8 damage) and then shift to stay adjacent to the WR. She's not actively threatening him, but wants to make sure he doesn't get any funny ideas.

ATK: 25 vs AC
DAM: 9

Brunhilde spins, flicks her throwing axe at the dire rat, and shifts to menace the wererat all in one seeming motion. She doesn't even glance to see if her throw hits home. She just listens for the satisfying THUNK (25 vs AC, 9 damage) and then opens her hand to catch it as it returns.

Please, don't feel like you have to stand on ceremony here. You may fire at Will (Will being the dire rat).

DinbinFanfoom

I assume you mean this encounter is all but over? Brun will let the others take care of DR3 and she will bind Selmik, ready to whack him with the axe-handle if he tries anything.

Fandango, not to be outdone by a warriorbabe, whips a dagger behind his back and between his legs. It flies directly at the dire rat (25 vs ac) and sinks to the hilt in rat's eye socket. The rat shudders and collapses. Fandango snatches the returning dagger and, after giving it a slylish flick to remove the evisera, returns the gleamingly clean dagger to its sheath.

The wererogue remains in a defensive crouch.
"Careful there, now," he says to Brunhilde in the kind of careful, calm voice one uses for dangerously unstable people. "I've no desire to hurt you and yours.... This battle is over.... Take a deep breath....Let's lower our weapons...."

Baladir says to the wererogue, "Fine we'll lower them as long as you lower yours" I'll lower my weapon, if he follows, I'll sheath it. I'll check that others are doing the same, if not, "I'll encourage them to do the same."

I'm assuming that everyone is lowering their weapons.

Baladir, will ask the wererogue a question, "So, I assume you are on the same side as (the wererat dude that sent us down here, I forget his name, it's been about a month since we started this adventure)? We are too.

Why did you attack us before?

Sagar
6th August 2009, 10:32 AM
The wererogue glances at Baladir then back to Brunhilde. Speaking to Baladir, the rogue says, "I'm ok with you. This one still seems a bit wound up. I'll keep my weapon ready.. not that it will do much to deflect that honking axe she has..."

Lycos
6th August 2009, 10:58 AM
Baladie speaks to Brunhilde, "Brun, put the axe down please."

I will play Brun until tomorrow. Dinbin is gone until the 9th.

Brunhilde puts the axe in a more relaxed stance, like one handed and down to one side. And waits for the rogue to do the same.

Asharad

Brun is afk, let's just assume she puts her axe down.

Lycos asked me to run his characters until late next week. Does that include Brun, then?

Trask will belt his morningstar, but have his bow in hand, no arrow.

The party and the rogue slow settle into more relaxed stances.

"I'm sorry I knifed you guys earlier. I didn't think, at first, that you might be from Him. I just reacted to intruders. I'm sorry I couln't reveal myself earlier - but that would have blown my cover."

"But before we go to far into all that... we need to do something about Selmik. The silver dagger will stop were regeneration, but it won't keep him from regaining conciousness within a few minutes.

"He can't be saved. He's in too deep. It would be a kindness to kill him now."

For me, that is starting tomorrow morning. I'll run Brun for now until I'm gone.
