Question:
Can I use preserver's rebuke on one of the Drakes?
It's an immediate trigger power, triggered on when an enemy hits an ally of mine. It gives me a bonus to hit that enemy next turn.
More importantly, it gives whoever was hit +7 temporary hit points.
I guess my question is, since it is an immediate trigger, if I use it, will the 7 temporary hitpoints that Raj gets granted keep him from being in a dying state?
It seems like it would be simultaneous and I don't know how that works. It seems like it might keep him upright with a hit point or two.
If that's the case, I'd like to do that.
Also, I checked arcane because you described the creepy goblin as being covered with arcane symbols. Not that with that roll I'd probably know anyway.

Is it an immediate interrupt, or an immediate reaction? If its an interrupt, he'll take 7 less damage. If its a reaction, he'll still be dying, but he'll have 7 temp hps.
Also, I checked arcane because you described the creepy goblin as being covered with arcane symbols. Not that with that roll I'd probably know anyway.
Yeah I get the confusion - its just dressed weird - but its still a "natural" monster. Sorry if that sounded critical

Yeah, I've been missing it the whole time, until Greebo made me update my character sheet here. :)
And Greebs, I won't bother if it won't keep him upright (which is doesn't seem like it will). Foiled again!

It's reasonable to assume (at least when I DM) that intelligent NPCs will beat on conscious enemies first, so with the goblin directing the fight, Raj need only make his saves.
When fighting unintelligent NPCs, however, be advised - I generally tend to keep them on their target until the target is dead. (Ask Lycos what happened to his gnome ;) )

Is there anything I can do, while we are in the middle of combat, to help Sagar make a death save?

A healing skill check DC 15 will stabilize someone who is dying (standard action).
A healing skill check DC 10 will allow you to give someone +2 to a saving throw.
The heal save won't help this round, though.

Yeah, I was thinking next round perhaps.
I'm torn between attacking the goblin or helping.

How DOES concealment work? does it just break LoE? LoS? 25% miss on ranged? melee? roll twice, take worse? (what's worse than a 1???)
Greebo

Concealment puts a -2 to melee and ranged attacks (not burst/area) against the concealed, and allows the concealed to attempt to hide.

We see the shambling brutes ... given the previous discussions about NOT leaving thigns behind us to sneak up on us, perhaps we should finish them off?
And they could easily be going to the boy (or the other captive), or even carrying the boy to something, if he's passed out ...

Yeah, we should probably pursue them.

Be warned, if you decide to pursue them, proceed at a pace faster than a shuffle or you will not overtake them. I recommend a brisk stroll, or perhaps a leisurely saunter. Do NOT trot gamely. They hate that.
