So, we on for tonight? Back to Slaver's Exile?

Illness, vacation and sleep deprivation aside, you mean? =P

I'll be around.

A couple of notes if we're a go for tonight...
(1) The third leg of Slaver's Exile is not fire-friendly, so I will not be running a pyromancer build. Probably a hydromancer build instead - less damage, more anti-melee hexing, and a 10-sec AE interrupt with Maelstrom. If I find a geomancer build I like before tonight, I may try that instead.
(2) Since I'm not running Searing Flames, there's no need for me to bring the extra elementalist. I generally default to an interrupt ranger or, in particularly tough areas, another monk. Not sure yet which way I should go.

Dunno that the third monk was actually worth it. The tradeoff between extra healing and diminished damage really swung out of our favor when we started running into the dorf priests. I'm thinking an AE interruptor (probably a Choking Gas ranger) may be a better option.

Also gotta find room in my build for something like Breath of the Great Dwarf, to counter the burning. That tore us up quite a few times.

On the plus side, there are a lot of chokepoints on the map. When we managed to get the bad guys packed into those, we did pretty well. Maelstrom kept the healers and other casters on ice while we polished them off.

I am not excited that the final boss in this part of the dungeon, Forgewright, is an elementalist. I fear we're in for some serious AE pain in that fight.

I'm thinking it might be worthwhile for me to switch to a different secondary. I'm not using any of my Necro stuff anymore since heroes were introduced into the game, as between Zyll and Olias and whatnot we've got everything covered on that front.

Monk is probably fairly useless as I'd only have room for one ability from my secondary profession and a rez would be the obvious choice, but I'm often one of the first to die, so that's pointless.

Perhaps Elementalist or Mesmer might provide something useful, an AE or an interrupt skill perhaps. Since I'm up close and personal in large groups so often, I've found that Light of Deldrimor is an excellent skill to have along. Something similar, that's proximity based and effects multiple targets, would compliment it nicely.

Any ideas?

If you want to stick with necro secondary, you might consider Unholy Feast (http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Unholy_Feast). I use it on occasion. Only problem being you need at least 8 in Blood to have it hit three targets. Might make a nice AE health refill though, when the trenches get tight. Fairly quick cast at least.

Adding: Here is the PBAOE skills (http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/PBAOE_skills_quick_reference) page, if you're inclined to look over all the class options.

Some of the smiting skills would probably be useful. Also Earthquake, an elementalist skill that does a lot of AE damage and knocks everybody down, but it's high energy cost plus exhaustion are going to limit the amount of times you can use it in a fight to once or twice.
