1) Back to Saltmarsh. We have a +1 longbow, +1 shortbow and 3 +1 shortswords to sell/stash/share. I am inclined to gift some or all of the swords to the lizardmen and save the bows for now.

2) Talk to the old man. Give him the book and the scroll from the dragon hoard that I forgot I was holding.

3) Report everything to the mayor and get that report to the Baron, although we can leave out Fandango's court appearance I think.

Anything else? What the old man can tell us from the book will lead us to the next stage. I expect Defiance is on the horizon.

You expectations are correct :D

Then maybe we can use the +1 items as a reason for going to Defiance. To trade.

I agree with everything except the weapons. Our guards at the manor should have first dibs on the weapons. They've fought for us in the past to protect the manor. I think they deserve first shot. Anything after that can go to the lizardmen.

I'm w/ Lycos. And Hell yeah, Defiance, here we come!

I added the healing potions and put Fandango's sword on his character post but some of you still need to update all your info.

I am having trouble with my character sheet on the character builder.

I can't get it to apply my new sword to most of my powers, even though it is a light blade.

I can't get the character sheet to recognize it is a main hand weapon even though I put it in the main hand slot. it's frustrating.

Okay...now I can't get it to tell me the off hand damage or add the two weapon fighting bonus.

Right click on the character sheet viewer on each power and you should be able to customize each.

My DMing style relies heavily on the idea of action / consequence.
Sometime those consequences just add flavor (like Fandango's tryst). Sometimes they are central to the story (like releasing Malacon).

Question is, would you like to know (after the fact) when you've done something that has averted a consequence? (e.q: had you killed Krestallon, there would have been no common speaking lizards in the vampire lair.)

Or would you prefer to just see what you actions bring and not worry about what you missed?

I admit, I am curious (yellow).

I admit, I prefer ignorance.

I hate the, "If you guys only did blah blah blah, you would be the conquerors of the world, and own all magic items that start with the letter A" discussion. I prefer to play to my character, and leave it at that. Otherwise, I'll be second guessing every time on what to do.

Although, in a year, if you want to say something like that. I have no problem with it.

I like to know how things could've gone differently.

Me too. Just to see what you where thinking, Sagar.

For all but Baladir
Most of the repercussions have not yet come to pass or hit a point where they can be discussed, but I will tell you three:

1. Letting one of the ambushers escape has had two consequences: First, the person sending them knows you are alive and more dangerous than he suspected. Two, the people who might be sent against you also know that and are MUCH less willing to take the job.

2. As you will learn shortly, Malacon's robe is very important. Had you left it behind, it would have vanished and you would have a devil of a time figuring out how to make another one (or something that would serve the same purpose).

3. Since you have committed to doing this, I'll tell you about it. At some point, while you are off on adventure, the house will be attacked by Malacon and his forces (DUH!). Had you not given the ladies magical weapons, he would have stolen Alfred's skull and corrupted him - turning him into a fearsome enemy. He would also have taken at least one other person. With the weapons, the guardians of your house will be able to force him to retreat and will suffer only minimal injuries.

I still have a +1 short sword on my character sheet. Shiz, did you take that? Should I have that removed from my sheet? It was from one of the fights before the vampire.

Shiz

That goes in the militia pile I guess.

I moved it there. Do you want me to remove the items we just invested with our guards? Or are you going to do that?

More spoiler stuff

Your generous treatment of the militia guys and the town gave you great faction. When the instigators came to town trying to undermine you, they got very little traction with their rumors. Had you not been so generous, the rumors would have worked and the town's attitude would have turned against you. Depending on how you acted, at best you would face shortages and high prices. At worst, you would have been evicted from the "free mansion you swindled from the town". You would not have your own woman's militia and you would have people trying to steal your treasures while you were gone.

Working with townsfolk, learning to sail, being friendly.. all have gone a long way to giving you a stable base of operations.
