When everyone moves into position, Maz will open the doors to the east. I expect ranged attacks from somewhere so be ready.

You know.. we made a nice little funnel point to focus our firepower on 1 or 2 mobs.. then promptly ran around so we were all spread out and the healer can't reach more than half the party.

Patience is a wonderful thing.

With luck, we will live and learn. Somehow, though, I think we are in big trouble.

We are supposed to be where Sagar, Jagged and Cilene are now.

I can't see how we can save Maz.
If we can get everyone else back to the starting room, we can bottle them up at the doors and give ourselves a chance.

You guys have to come to us. No other option. Rend just took out 2. Take OAs from soldier1 if needed.

Jagged can get behind the Warcaster with Combat sprint (+4 speed, +4 vs. OAs) and use his daily and another attack (AP).

Potentially could drop a lot of damage and turn the tide.

Combat Sprint does not allow you to enter an enemy square. You should probably Bull Rush that soldier (std action), then you can sprint past him, then spend your AP to do something to the warcaster.

The problem is your first roll is a 4. That will fail to Bull Rush. We are rolling badly at a critical time. Not much we can do about that.

What about the door in J12? Is that actual blocking the path or can he run through that square and just take the OA?

He can open the door but it would take the minor he was planning on using for Inspiring Word (IIRC).

Hmm. Guess I could let him try to run *through* the door. That'd be pretty dramatic. :lowlol:

if it pushes away from him, maybe call it difficult terrain and he smashes it open as he runs through :o

The heal isn't as important as coming in the room to draw fire. Heals are just as effective after someone goes down after all.

The real issue is he has to stop his move action to open the door, so he loses the chance to use a standard action.

move-minor(door)-move, then AP to attack. Still, better than Rend and Maz bleeding out...

For those interested in the metagame side of things:

While this room (the hobgoblin barracks) may seem pointless, if you hadn't cleared it they would've started their patrol some time in the near future and probably stumbled upon you in the middle of another fight.
