I don't have my books right now, do we need some skill to use rituals? and if so, do we have the aforementioned skill?

I'm a ritual caster, but I don't have the ritual in my book.

Curse disease is a level 6 ritual - none of you could use it yet.

By the way - Jacoby does have Tenser's Floating Disk... but i wasn't going to point that out if you didn't notice it back in Rivenroar. ;)

Ritual Caster is a feat - then you can add rituals to your ritual book over time.

thought it was something like that, why i wasn't sure if getting the ritual helped us :o

I changed that at level 3.

I don't think you can willy nilly change rituals.

Greebo

No - you can't. Ritual formulas which can be added to your ritual book are rare, and if you don't discover one or buy one (DM's discretion) you cannot just change them.

HOWEVER - since Lycos has taken over Jacoby - and since none of the rituals have been use as yet - I'm willing to allow this exception.

Yeah, that is why I changed it. You offered that I could change anything along that line in the beginning. And I understand that I will not be changing any of the rituals from here on out.

Did I? Dang, I'm nicer than I thought!

While we are in town, Jacoby would like to buy 3 more components for his two ritual spells, total cost 60 gold.

Get a discussion thread you two!

Pot. Kettle. STFU. :P

I made one question, but there were twelve followups :p

Anyway, discussion -- I think we should press on, if there's a seige/battle going on, every day is bad. We'll see who can stay up with him after the first night's travel to help him, but we should start moving.

I figured that we wouldn't know in advance that he didn't need healing, so at least someone should stay up with him. So I did for RP reasons, and failed miserably to help in any way ;)

Yeah well on the plus side you've conclusively shown that poking him repeatedly in the ribs with a pointed stick is ineffective.

Dammit, Raj, I'm a priest not a doctor!

Good think I didn't need either. :p

I was going to use athletics rules for standing jumps to calculate Raj's throw distance, but the 1 (due north) and the location of the bushes compelled me to use narrative discretion...

Are the burning bushes isolated and unlikely to cause a forest fire or is there enough dry grass and other foliage to suggest this could get out of hand if left unattended?

The only thing that comes to mind for me at this moment is "DOH!".

Tweaked the grid so that dead NPCs don't also show bloodied - but that means dying pc's won't show bloodied either.

So just assume that dying includes bloodied for PCs :)

attriel

Yah I had modified it at one point to mark dead on npcs if <0, but then i realized everyone was right and it's simpler if i just remove them from the grid by deleting their names :/
