Hey, in the old days this didn't work on mindless stuff. Now, though, it applies.

I figure the word is just the carrier for the divine power flowing against the creature. It doesn't have to understand the speech, but is impacted by the power.

Hmm. I suppose under the new reading of the rules, and the fact that flavor text is not deterministic in decision making, you're correct.

But in my group, I'd house rule this in a heart beat anyway..

I'm inclined to agree w/ Sagar that it's not the word or even hearing the word that carries the power but some sort of divine force behind the sound that does it. But it's good to know how you'd rule in our RL game. :lowlol:

Shiz, a suggestion -- You seem more like you're leading a raid than playing with a group of friends and equals. Let things flow, and sometimes the suboptimal person can open the door or ponder on a subject.

Nah, Blug is a demonic tool, to be summoned or dispensed with at my leisure. I use him just for the THPs mostly, when I can get em.

Gloaming Shroud goes to? Seems to make sense for Rend as the resident stealther.

No one is responding to the shroud. Rend will take it unless there is an objection or even interest raised by someone else.
