Looks really good, though I'm not a huge fan of the way the wood elves look. Erudites really have improved though.

Also, check this out:

So much for them looking like refugees from a Blind Melon video.

Man this game is really starting to look good.

Oooh, Naggy's back.

And he's loose, and presumably Vox is as well! Oooh, I wonder if that means we'll have Vox and Naggy in the same cave with a bunch of little baby steam-dragons?

While Naggy back is cool, it is also a stupid missed opportunity. Nags has been killed a million times. You think a new game would give SOE the chance to kill him for real. Put his (and Vox's) head in Freeport (and Qeynos) and give us a new villain.

There should be ZERO NPC overlap between the 2 games given the cataclysm.

Popular myth from fantasy is that occasionally you have a copy cat. Younger dragon takes the name of a older dead dragon for prestige and continue the myth of an undefeatable foe....

Now yeah your right Nagy and Vox should both be Dead and Bones.. (now making tham undead dragons would be cool)

Looks like Naggy went on a crash diet...

Hmm... graphics looking good, still no interest in playing it. Have to wait and see if that changes by release date. Heck, I've lost interest in Vanguard as well.

From what I've been reading it sounds like Nagafen will not be a killable mob at the release of the game, but rather an NPC who will give quests to evil-aligned NPCs.

NPC eh? That'll be interesting to hear for voice for him.

Caranthir

Heh, I also read something that said that Antonia Bayle and Lucan may very well be voiced by famous people (didn't say who).

Me, I really want to hear Sean Connery shout, "You wood elves have ruined your own lands! You'll not ruin mine!"

"Bring me two Trumpy Tonics, shaken- not stirred."

I really don't.

I say LAME! again. Lucan and Bayle are still alive in EQ2? What, are they immortal? I thought a few hundred years had passed.

Stupid.

Lucan is indeed immortal (and apparently now a Lich, no less). The Bayle in question is actually an ancestor who adopted the family name Bayle upon learning of the bloodline (so sayeth the character blurbs).

Well the lore rationalization is just as lame as the concept. Hrrmph.

Serani

Balye is also AntonIA not AntoniUS Bayle. Female and yes, descendent. And yes, Lucan is immortal.

WOW! The detail on the characters is amazing. I love all the armor and weapon detailing, and dark elves look great! Oh, and if that guy in the armor with the snarling puppy next to him is a Shaman, then you can bet your last copper Slainte is coming back in EQ2, that looks great!

As for the lore, I say whatever, lore is lore, it's all hokey when you boil it down. If they want to have a few familiar faces around then I'm OK with it, I'm sure there will be plenty of new stuff to go around. It DOES look like Naggy had to survive on the all-gnome diet for awhile though, that's the most anorexic looking dragon I've seen.

The more stuff I see about EQ2 the more eager I am to play. When is that beta starting up!?

It was originally slated for June and, according to supposition on the SOE forums, has been pushed back to July. No one knows for sure, though and the "official" word still says sometime in June. But they could start it on June 30th and it would still be June.

And if Slainte comes back, will you wiggle again???

Kristin (my soon to be live in girlfriend) is going to play if its any good, which is cool.

I'm jealous. Only game my g/f even remotely got into was The Sims.

You bet, though that in itself may scare Ash's GF away from playing altogether...

Oh, I should get over to the EQ2 boards and petition to have a wiggle animation added for Barbarian Shaman!

Do you really want to subject her to us?

If she plays more than Ash, and Ash has found her enrapturing enough to give up his playboy lifestyle and buy a house with her, isn't the question whether we should be subjected to her? If she can control Ash, she can control the world!!! ;-)
