Yep, Brees goes unconscous vs. Favre being merely adequate makes for a long day. Top it off with my #1 receiver being inactivated too late in the game for me to swap him out, and my RB/WR having a really crappy day compared to his opposite number. Basically, unless Chris Chambers can manage 60+ points tomorrow night (right on par with pigs sprouting wings), I am toast.

Where the hell are my players?
Seriously, I'm not fielding scrubs or 2nd stringers here, I've got big names like Portis, A. Johnson, McCardell and hot newcomers like Melwelde Moore and Rueben Droughns, yet they all seem to fail miserably in the same weeks? Am I cursed?
With only Miami DEF left to play it looks like I'll be scoring around 55 point total this week, which could still be enough to win given that Zyzzyx forgot to change his lineup, but it's still pathetic nonetheless. It's just very frustrating that no matter what I seem to to to change the overall makeup of my team, I'm still unable to score more than 70 points a week! :x

WELL THAT SUCKED
Thanks to Miami's inept defensive outing this week I actually LOST 6 points last night, which was just enough to hand my opponent the win. Sad thing is, my opponent had 3 main slots (QB,WR,RB) filled with guys who DIDN'T EVEN PLAY!
I know I complained about this on the Yahoo board already, but it's really pissing me off that I can't seem to field a competitve team. It seems that every player I pick up suddenly ceases to score points the moment I activate him on my roster. It's inexcuseable that a team including Portis, Droughns, A. Johnson, and K. McCardell and backed by normally dependable K,DEF, and TE should post a 45 point score ANY week.
I am cursed. It's the only explaination.

Did okay this week, again thanks to Priest, since my #2 RB Correy Dillon, listed as probable, did not even get DRESSED to play! Also my #2 WR did not play; had a chance when I picked up Chris Horn to choose Eric Parker (who, yesterday, I picked up to replace Horn anyway ), but chose to go against Indy. So I missed out on 91yds on a handful of receptions and had a 0-fer active instead. Tack on a miserable performance by Denver D (-4.00pts) and a very subpar effort from Eric Johnson (TE, 0.95pts), and it's amazing I won.
For the record, this is exactly why picking first was "stressful." I don't take this game too seriously, but have immense fun with it. At the draft I didn't really want to choose Priest, but felt I had to since I'd rather him have a mediocre year on my team than an awesome year on another's. Turned out favorably, even tho' I seriously debated choosing Green or LT instead. Thankfully, I went with other people's gut feelings.

Congrats, Lycos. My colleague (Big Blue) is an idiot. He left his defense on the bench with 9 points and lost by 7.
12 teams next year. No more.

Don't feel bad, Shiz. I picked up a loss after helping Gaul fix his team the week we were going head to head, and I don't think he's adjusted anything since then.
This week, fortunately, I managed to pick up a win despite Larry Fitzgerald apparently NOT EVER SEEING A FRICKEN PASS. He had a RUSHING CARRY and that was ALL. WTF is up with that team? Apparently whoever thought Dennis Green was a football coaching genius needs to see a psychiatrist right away. Ok, yeah I gave up some points putting Hoover on the field instead of Staley, who still didn't score a fricken TD, but I'd have gained points by sitting LF's butt, and putting Hoover in the flex. I think all of my backup RBs scored more fantasy points than LF. Hopefully, I've fixed that for week 9.

The wind was really bad for Arizona last week. That, and Boldin finally returned to the lineup so Fitz has to share the ball now. :P
Yay me for dropping a late-round pick on Boldin and now having him to bookend a resurgent Plaxico Burress. I'm sitting at 4-4 now (the only team at .500 in a league of 16 - wierd) and I like my chances for moving up after this week. I gotta get by VV this week, though, with Vick and Taylor both on a bye.
Speaking of Vick, I'm determined to never ride that roller coaster through another season.

Fitz didn't 'share' the ball. Arizona had 4 people with receptions, and LF was NOT one of them. That's not sharing, that's exclusion.
