Hi all, The prices of T3 raw materials has dropped to rock bottom. My guess is this is due to a supply/demand imbalanced created by the tradeskill guild hall being down yesterday. In any case, if you're working on T3 crafting today is a good day to buy. As of this morning prices were:

Belladonna <50cp
Carbonite Cluster 30cp
Gold Cluster 30cp
Rough Agate 25cp
Severed Ash <15cp

I've never seen prices this low. I don't know if this is a permanent state or if the prices will creep back up, but they've certainly hit a new low today.

I imagine this also reflects the new reality that people are no longer buying to fulfill wholesaler quests.

It might also reflect people say "f*** tradeskilling!" with the toughter pristines. I don't think the buying of resources for wholesaler quests was that big. If it was, prices would have normalized at higher levels. It wasn't hard for me to buy up all of any particular resource sub-40c when I went into arbitrage mode. I would even lose money on some tasks so I could get a new one.

Well, I took advantage to snarf up 3+ stacks of carbonite to start working my weaponsmithing. Only problem is, no damned neolith temper on the broker. Time to power Purk to Alchemist for the long term. More immediately, I need to contract some of our other Alchemists for some stacks. I'll be trying to garner belladona to help defray costs (and bump my gathering skill) in order to keep a ready supply in the pipeline.

Oh, Tier 2 goods are now rock bottom. Iron clusters were selling for 2cp...

Please note that Alchemists need carbonite, gold or agate to make tempers, not belladonna roots.

I expect the prices will go back up. Not many people were able to enter TS instances yesterday to buy up the overstock, thus the drop in prices.

Yep, the boards truly work on supply and demand. The problem is that can change moment to moment. What was going for 5x one minute can go for 50x the next if all of the lower cost stuff gets bought up or if those lower cost people loose connection... Best time to buy is late night or early morning when alot of people are set up for sellboting.

It appears that the prices for resources has continued to slide. Currently, I'm seeing anywhere from 3-5cp per unit of T3 metals and gemstones.

There is mispricing everywhere. I am starting to see opportunities. Heck, I flipped an agate earring for a 25s profit in about 15 minutes on Monday. One seller had it at 25s with 4 others at 80s. I bought the 25s and relisted it at 50s. It sold immediately.

The only price that's seemed to recover a bit is belladonna. I sold some of that this morning for 90cp. It's still less than half of what it was but it's better than the others. It'll be interesting to see how T4 resourses sell.

That's a great idea, Nitz! I gotta start doing some flipping myself!

Heh, from what I've seen the T3 food resources have not gotten cheaper, but seem to have risen. Stuff like cinnamon, marjoram, and fayberry are minimum at 1s or more, instead of the 20-30c I saw when I first entered T3 trades. Meanwhile I look over and see wood and rock at extra low prices. :-\

That is part of the way I have now made over 2p. See someone selling something for less than 1/4th what most are going for and resell. The other day I saw a cracked human bone going for 25s and bought it and turned around and sold it overnight for 4g and that price was set 1g less than next lowest at that point!
