---------------------------
|
| Step One
|
---------------------------

After you've reached level 40. Head to Stormhold, in Antonica. If you've adventured in Stormhold, you no doubt know where the "Glowing Sword" is. If not, then from the entrance, follow the cavern opening downward, past the Bell Ringers, through the double doors. From here, take the second door on your left. Left at the T, follow the hallway, making no deviations until the third left wooden door. (Guarded by two Ghouls). Through this door lies the Inert Bone Bladed Claymore. Clicking the sword will start the quest.

----------------------------
|
| Step two
|
----------------------------

Now that you have the quest. Right click to inspect the sword. After reading though the dialog you are tasked to defeat the Gnoll Shaman - Opalla. He (or she... it even) is located in Blackburrow (in Antonica). I have not honestly fought in Blackburrow enough to give you full directions. But I do know that Opalla is in the same room as the Tactician. Opalla will spawn when you enter the room. Opalla is a ghost figure, Level 42 and not much of a caster. I was level 40 [Paladin] at the time, and duo'ed it with a level 40 Templar.

----------------------------
|
| Step three
|
----------------------------

After you've slayed Opalla, re-examine the sword to learn more about this terrible curse. The next encounter it sends you to is the Troll Warrior Redak. He is level 44 and is a hard hitter. Trio'd him with a swashy and templar. Redak spawns in the chapel within Stormhold. The chapel is located deep within Stormholds labrynth of halls. Easiest directions would be: From the spiral staircase (where you started quest), go all the way down. From there you'll see a long hall way, at the end is a wooden door. Enter the atrium and take the door to the left. At the pond of water, take a right. Follow this hall making no deviations until you've reached a wooden door. Thru this door is the way to the Chapel.

----------------------------
|
| Step four
|
----------------------------

By defeating the Shaman Gnoll and Toll Warrior, you've subsided the thirst for vengence. Examining the sword once again, you are now required to re-forge the hilt and bone blade. To do this, you need two things. A forge and an Ebon Cluster. Ebon Cluster is a tier 5 rare stone. Here is a list of each zone and each rock that can be mined for ebon cluster.

Rivervale - (Small light grey round stone)
Everfrost - Fridged Ore (Large dark grey oblonged stone)
Feerrott - Alluvian Ore (small light grey round stone)
Lavastorm - Unknown (pm with stone)

I will be the first to tell you that this stone (208 Mineing Skill) is so rare, that when you actually DO successfully mine an ebon cluster. Your heart will stop. After I mined my first ebon cluster, I had mined well over 150 stacks of 20 mineing resources (Celebron is very happy btw). Buy the stone if you can. If not, start swingin the pick axe. -Note the following are just suggestions- I beileve what makes a rare, is the amount of time you spend and/or the amount you have resourced from nodes. I had the most luck with fulgiate stones in Feerrott and Everfrost. Rivervale is very sparce with mineing resources.

Now that you have an ebon cluster, and a handfull of hair less. It's time to re-forge the hilt and blade. But before doing so. Be forewarned. After re-forging the sword you will be banished perminantly from all cities until you complete the quest. Take all precautions before re-forging the sword. Now, with that said, we can continue. The forge hinted to you in the dialog is "A" forge in Runnyeye. I say "a" forge, because there are actually many there. When you enter RE, you'll want to start heading up to the goblins. Past the bridge that overlooks the pond or water. You first come to a small room of goblins (3-4 group) with some wandering lashers. Thru the arc across this first small room, is the first main goblin room. There are 4 pods in each corner. As you first enter the room, turn immediatly left. Inside that pod is the forge. The forge in reality is an iron anvil situated in the middle of the pod. Click on the anvil to re-forge the sword.

-----------------------------
|
| Step five
|
-----------------------------

After re-forging the sword you become so enraged with lust for killing you are banished from Civilization with a mission to kill 1,000 (one thousand) Sentient Beings. A sentient being is any creature with will and a mind of it's own. Meaning, if it is humanoid. Kill it. Things such as bears, rats, fish, birds do NOT count. Skeletons, Minaturs, Gnolls, Humans, etc. are sentient creatures. This part of the quest took me a good 3 hours to complete. I highly suggest (if you can afford it) renting two or so of your servers highest AE damage dealers. Once more, I would recommend above that, any class that can Point Blank AE (not need a target) such as a paladin would make this part of the quest quicker. The area I suggest killing is the Caltoris Ruins in Antonica which has 20 spawns areas of 3-5 mobs per encounter.

-----------------------------
|
| Step six
|
-----------------------------

You've slayed Opalla and Redak, re-forged the hilt and blade. Subsided your thirst for blood. Now there is one final task that needs to be completed. You must slay Gynok Moltar. The First wielder of the Claymore. He, no doubt, is located in Stormhold, in the very place where the quest started. Gynok is lvl 47 and is a tough son of a *bleep*. Depending on your level, you may need a full group for this guy.

-----------------------------

| Step seven.

-----------------------------

At this point there are two options. If you have NOT completed the Berik, Sword of Thunder Quest, then all that remains to do is accept your reward. If you HAVE completed the Berik quest, then examine the sword one last time. You are presented with two options... Strike the Claymore with Berik, or not to strike... striking produces: Electrified Bone Bladed Claymore

It's a pretty easy quest, to be honest. There's a lot of mob killing. Forceful skill increasing. Experience. Guild Status. And a [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] sweet blade. I will add this: Where is the PARTICLE EFFECT. Unless I've made some change to EQ2's settings. I see no particle effect like the one in Stormhold. I was really expecting to see one on the Electrified version of the BBC.
