Today is the 100th anniversary of the first of Einstein's revolutionary papers that turned Physics as they knew it on its collective ear.
His first paper was, in his estimation, the only one that was truly revolutionary. It was immediately rejected and somewhat ridiculed - but it was also later the only idea for which he received a Nobel Prize.
Kudos to Einstein for his theory that light is quantized and acts as both a particle and a wave!
