Before I post changes - did you follow the steps I gave yesterday, and does the computer now boot up to where you want it instead of going back to the setup?

I followed the steps you suggested, but did not think nor make the time to reboot the system. Will do that when I get home first thing this afternoon.

Ok - if it reboots properly, then remove this line:
C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows XP Setup"
You can also open up windows explorer, make sure you can see all hidden files, and delete the temp dir (c:\$win_nt$.~bt) created by the setup program to free up the space.

Or you can just mail your PC to Greebo and he will get it back to you..
in 3 or 4 years.

Thanks for the help, Greebo! Will try that first thing when I get home, if my multihour download is finished... Doubtful, but we'll see. (Man I dislike dialup...)
As far as getting rid of the PC when it's no longer good for gaming... Again, doubtful, since I bought as powerful of a PC as I could afford (prior to Becky's car accident, o'course, which would've made this computer, if we even bought one, significantly less than it is), intending to use it for many years to come.
