Thinking ahead

I plan to start another league this year as soon as Yahoo! allows. Please voice your reference for a live draft date and time. Obviously, I am looking for guidelines, not specifcs.

Late August? July? 9pm EDT? 10pm EDT? I want to maximize participation.

I also want to limit the league to 12 if possible. 14 would be ok. 16 was too many.

Dunno about a month or day yet, but definitely sometime in the evening (but not Thursday evenings, which I will have classes from 6 to 10 on). Other than that I should be ready to go whenever we decide, as long as we have sufficient warning (which is clearly what you're going for).

Friday evenings don't work for me. Other than that, I'm open for whatever.

Evenings are best, 8pm or 9pm EST is most desireable. I'd say shoot for an August draft date again, doing it in July makes for too many ways for people to get screwed on guys that get injured, cut or otherwise become useless.

12 or 14 teams would be great. Last season scoring system seemed to work really well. I liked that games were often fairly close, and that receptions counted enough that WRs and TEs that weren't scoring TDs like crazy were able to contribute enough to make a difference.

OK so right now I am shooting for mid-August, Mon-Wed, 9pm EDT. Speak up if that won't work for anyone. I will be early enough on the league to have baically infinite choice.

Mid to late Aug, Mon-Wed, early evening sounds good. With the format that yahoo! employs, the drafts usually take no more than 90min, so that's cool.

Thank God there finally seems to be some meaningful movement between the owners and the NHLPA. This time next year, hockey playoffs should be going on. :lowcool:
