Sunday: Upper body workout. Can make it all the way through all exercises, all sets without failure (3x12's) (the closest I come is the bicep curls; left arm). Might be time to up the weight.

Monday: I typically cheat on the diet a bit on the weekends, and since Monday was Victoria Day up here... East Side Mario's... mmmmm...

I like the progress, but would like to get more cardio in.

Friday and saturday worked on a rowing machine for cardio, since the hotel had rowing and treadmills (turns out i hate treadmills)

bout 15 minutes each morning; wasn't much, but it was giving me blisters :/ stupid calluses

I have yet to meet somebody that doesn't. They are evil machines, redeemed only by their convenience. ;)

I knocked off work early on Friday with every intention of mowing the lawn. The neighbors were having a yard sale, though, and I refrained from assaulting them (and their potential customers) with the noise and went running instead. Since we had plans for Saturday morning (new exhibit at the zoo, members preview breakfast and such), I stretched the run into eight miles and felt fine.

Swam in the hotel pool Saturday night and Sunday morning. Not too many laps, as I spent most of the time pushing the kids around in their floats, but still better than sleeping in. :lowrazz:

actually, part of my problem seems to be that i take long strides. So I'm doing this balance act between falling off the back and stepping off the front.

I can't imagine how much they must suck for people with long legs :o

I actually LIKE treadmills. If parked in front of the TV. Heh.
I am of the short-legged variety however, so my choppy strides work well with treadmills.

Last night was ab/back night. Yesterday I also cooked up a new 2-day upper body routine to "mix it up" (as recommended every month or so).

Day 1:
Dumbell Bench Presses
Dumbell Shoulder Presses
Dumbell Tricep Extensions
Dumbell Lateral Raises

Day 3:
One-Arm Dumbell Rows
Dumbell Curls
Dumbell Step-Ups (not really upper body, but a bit of trap work and legs)

My CURRENT routine has me doing 7 exercises (3x12) in one day, which I think might be less effective than increasing the weight and breaking it up. I'd like to change my ab/back workout too, maybe I'll plan that out next week. (Must get chinning bar)

Last night was first time on treadmill in a week. BAH! I'd do it every day if it was more convenient (TM is at my parent's place). I've been offered a "Gazelle" by someone who doesn't use theirs, but the thing I like best about the TM is the pace is guaranteed to be constant. IIRC, the Gazelle is one of those no-motor leg-swinging-with-resistance thingies that only tracks time and estimated calories. Of course I haven't seen it yet... and of course any cardio in the morning (what I'm aiming for... get it out of the way before my morning shower/breakfast) is better than none.

I haven't touched the scale in a long time. Just know that the belly is still slowly growing, despite putting many, many miles on the bike. I know exactly why though, my food choices still aren't that great.

I've definitely been on the bike though. Tapering off a bit, getting ready for the big ride in a week, but still riding. Mostly just 20 miles commuting home, takes 1:15 to 1:30 depending on my mood and the headwinds.

Trying to restart my exercise routine after getting off track since
my son was born. I did my Bas Rutten heavy bag routine last night
and boy can I tell that its been a while. It takes about a 1/2 hour
with 7x3minute rounds with 1min in between where I do pushups
and crunches. The nice thing is that you can adjust the intensity
depending on how you feel. (didnt feel to good last night ;)

Hopefully I can do this at least every other day....
