First post :P When is this due out again? And can I have eye lazers and bio-blasts that fire from my arms?!

My only problem with the game design is that there won't be any player villains. EQ in tights isn't as appealing.

They've said a few times that PC villains will be added in an expansion pack. To be honest, I kind of prefer it that way since that (hopefully) means they'll be devoting a lot of time to getting the game mechanics working correctly, instead of just tacking it on the way EQ and other games have.
I'm kind of bummed I can't talk one of my friends into being my archenemy though.

Patching in PvP is a recipe for disaster. It has to be part of the core design if it is going to work well.

True, though they could be the first team to successfully pull it off. I'm rooting for them. :)
I'm mainly interested in this game for two reasons: 1) I'm an old-school comic book fan; and 2) it's something different from the rest of the pack.
I'm really hoping it has a feel similar to Freedom Force, which is still one of the best games I've ever played.

Freedom Force ruled because you could damage/throw anything. CoH clearly cannot do that, but I, too, am curious how they do things. The switch to superpower templates from free-for-all skill selection was kind of a bummer, if totally understandable.

Darn! I wanted to be a ultra strong, mutant, who could fly, use all telepathic powers, throw fire and ice and still make a mean pot of pasta!

And what does Serani have to say about that Rubi?

She's kind of in the middle. She kinda doesn't mind sharing, but at the same time is homicidally jealous of most people that say hi to me. Because, as she puts it, if they knew what she knows, I wouldn't be able to beat them off (no pun intended) with a stick.
