I’m not wild about my matchups this week as I take on Shiz in an attempt to keep my perfect record intact.

QB: Kerry Collins vs. Eli Manning – Collins has to play against Philly this week, while Manning faces San Diego. As long as Collins is still throwing to Moss, I’ll give him the edge.

WR: Hines Ward / Jimmy Smith vs. Brandon Stokley / Deion Branch – Kind of interesting, in that Ward and Branch play each other this week. (And, *ahem*, Go Steelers!) I expect Branch to have a decent day, and Stokley is always a threat with Peyton tossing him the ball. Not sure what to expect from Ward and Smith, so I’ll give a slight edge to Shiz.

RB: Corey Dillon / Tiki Barber vs. Rudi Johnson / LaMont Jordan – Ugh. Dillon takes on the Steelers defense this week, while Johnson will have a field day against Chicago. Barber will put up some numbers for me, though, so I’ll call this a draw.

TE: LJ Smith vs. Alge Crumpler – Edge to Crumpler. He’s Vick’s only real receiving threat.

Flex: Larry Fitzgerald vs. Marcus Robinson – In the battle of flex-option receivers, my guy is better. Edge to me, slightly.

K: John Kasey vs. John Carney – If there’s an edge at all here, it’s to Shiz and Carney.

D: NY Jets vs. Seattle – The Jets defense has been a bit of a disappointment for me. They get to face a Jacksonville squad with a hobbling QB, though, so I think (hope) that’s enough to bring this matchup back to a draw.

Overall, I like my chances again. Collins is a big advantage for me this year, and I’ll ride him as long as I’m able. I think I win a close one.

I'm a bit concerned about sufferring my first loss this week against noptov, but not overly so...

QB: Carson Palmer v Peyton Manning - One of the hottest QBs thus far in 2005 against a tough Bears Def v the best from last year taking on a week passing D. I'm assuming Peyt breaks his funk and goes off for 2-3. Edge: DnD

WR 1: Ashley Lelie v D Jackson - An inconsistent TD threat v Hasselbeck's only reliable option. Edge: DnD, slightly

WR 2: Glenn v Coles - Bledsoe's main target against a horrible defense, v Chad's deep threat against a solid D (that held Manning to 0 TDs) which assume Chad can even hold onto the ball long enough to toss a pass... Edge: Drax

RB: LT/Parker v McCallister/Green - Depends on how well Parker fares against NE. If he does well, Edge: Drax, hands down. If he struggles, slight Edge to DnD.

WR/RB: Porter v Droughns - Porter against Phillie, or Droughns against Ind. Cle may not be given the opportunity to run the ball in the second half, limiting Droughns stats. Edge, slight: Drax

K/Def - Who knows with these?

I think the game will come down to Parker and Peyt. Parker does well, so does Drax. Peyt performs normally, compared to '04, DnD wins without question. Here's hoping to good ol' Willie having a field day! :lowlol:

Eli Manning was a tough call, but probably shouldn't have been. Leftwich is too injured for me to play him. I smell a Vikings explosion this week, so it sucked having to bench Burleson on injury concerns. Luckily, Marcus was still a free agent so I grabbed him.

In an incredible display of sillyness, BOTH Raveneye and myself managed to WIN the second leg of the suicide pool by default when neither one of us made a pick this week. I was busy killing Phinny during the pregame show and I totally forgot. /knucklehead
