Ever wonder what this means? You know, when "Guild A has defeated Guild B in the Hall of Heroes to retain the favor of the gods for America" flashes up on your screen?

I was poking around GuildWiki and found the deal. When one region has favor (America for us), the god's Avatars are active in that region. You can donate to them to get bonuses, and some of them will give quests.

Raveneye, this is why we were both surprised when the Avatar of Dwayna in Sardelac had that quest we thought we'd previously missed - it wasn't there when America didn't have favor.

I think this is kinda cool. :lowcool:

I saw that in Guild Wiki as well. I think it's very cool that soemthing in game is tied to PVP action. Have you noticed that they added Korea to the mix lately? I think they mentioned bringing more servers online in Japan soon as well, so we'll have more than just America and Europe to trade favor back and forth between.

Did you know you can view PvP battles in arenas by using observer mode? It's pretty cool, but the action is so chaotic and frentic that it's hard to follow what's going on. When I observed, mostly I just saw people running around in FPS style trying to dodge melees and stopping only long enough to cast a spell before moving again. I think Cripple, Pin Down and Hamstring are must have PvP skills thanks to this.
