I'm thinking PC groups are going to become more and more important as the game progresses. I picked up one mission out of Bettletun that simply isn't doable with henchmen (who are 12th level in this neck of the woods).

Basically, you have to defend the entrance to town from several waves of undead. They start with 16th level hellhounds (who are present in all the waves I experienced) and expand from there. While each wave also has a mix of fodder type mobs (11th level IIRC), the fourth (and I hope final) wave featured a Warlock (summons minions), Smoke Phantom and a friggen Bone Drake. :eek!: Add ot the mix varying numbers of skelton monks, sorcerors, rangers and warriors and you can imagine the unpleasantness.

I died three times en route to that fourth wave - and you have to be careful where you engage these things, because if you're too far out, you respawn right within aggro range of them. :evileye: I decided to warp out rather than take a fourth death with my obviously overmatched crew.

Although one thing I did discover, if you retreat to a city/outpost, it wipes your debt - of course, it also resets all the wildlife in the area, but everything is a trade off.

I hear that undead are the major types of mobs in the next few plot missions as well. The game is starting to get interesting...

Time to re-spec Destrid again, I guess, as monk's smiting prayers are doubly effective versus undead. ;)
