Nah, not me. The mild Guild Wars resurgence from the inhabitants of this board appears to have worn out. The last few times I've been on have found my "friends" list devoid of online members. The Thursday night groups still seems stable, but my hopes to flesh it out with a few more people (and hence a few less henchmen) seem to be misplaced, at least for the time being.

Yup, spring is in the air and the effect on MMORPG's is tangible. Add to that other time sappers like vacations, kids off school and new game releases (Oblivion anyone?) and you've got the start of the Spring/Summer slowdown. Since we only had a handful of GW players to start with, we'll feel the effects even harder. I noticed the EQ2 folks complaining of the exact same thing.
I'm still in for Thursday night fun indefinitely. It helps immensely that GW has no monthly fee, so playing once a week doesn't feeel like throwing money away.

I keep puddling along on the once weekly forays, but my interest in GW is sort of sagging a bit otherwise. I tried running one of my alts through the first couple plotline missions ... **yawn** Even with different skill sets, the replayability of this game seems a bit weak.
Still haven't been captured by Oblivion yet (although frankly, haven't even launched it in going on 2 weeks). Reloaded Civ 4 the other day and have been dinking around with that instead as a time sink.

Eh, sorry. After playing for awhile I just decided GW was not the game for me. Off trying EQ2 again and enjoying it, except for the lack of people my level.

I'm still very curious as to the main plotline, and I like the variety in the discovery of new areas, new skills and new creatures. But now that we're all level 20, and with no real "phat lewt" aspect to the game, it's really not as attractive to play solo outside the Thursday night group.
I've started thinking of that group as like a weekly D&D session, we're all there to enjoy the module as it unfolds and see what the big finish holds.

There are green (unique) items from boss mobs not too far down the pike from where our top guys are at. Some of those look pretty nice. You're right, though - that's about it. Everybody pretty much aspires to the same reasonably obtainable armor and runes.
The different skill mixes are enough to keep me going with alts (or at least one alt - the other is still pre-Searing) for now.
I will say this, though - the replayability would be greatly enhanced if most of the post-Ascalon quests that resulted in skill rewards weren't generic. That is, most quests around Ascalon (pre- and post-Searing) that gave skills as part of the reward are class specific, so necromancers have different quests than monks. Into the Shiverpeaks and beyond, skill rewards for different classes result from the same quests for each class. Once you're into that, I can see it getting really repetitive.
Although I'm not sure I'll get it right away, I'm looking forward to Factions. The new plot, skills, and classes will be a nice addition.
