Assuming everybody can make it tonight, plot mission #10 is next up.
The Wilds in Maguuma Jungle, American District #1, 9pm EST.
The Wilds
Hunt down the Shining Blade (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Shining_Blade) Kidnappers, and rescue the Chosen (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Chosen) they have taken hostage.
Chase the fleeing Shining Blade.
Rescue the Chosen (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Chosen).
Discover how the Shining Blade navigates the jungle.
BONUS Defeat the two Centaur (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Centaur) chieftains. The bonus looks a little tricky if you're unaware of it - similar to one of the Ascalon mission bonuses in that you need to wait for some NPCs to do something before attacking them.
Also, if GravenStone hasn't done the bonus from mission #9 yet, we can see about rushing through that as well. Shouldn't take too long - I think Raveneye and I did it fairly quickly last week.
This is the last mission with gimpy level 12 henchmen. Level 15 after this, and I think we aren't too far from having the option of a second monk henchmen.

I'm in. Looks pretty straightforward except for the start of the bonus.
Man, a second healer henchman would make a world of difference. Right now the only time we get into serious trouble is when the mobs concentrate on our single healer henchie and kill her quick. With two flinging heals around, we should be able to kick some serious booty.

Four more plotline missions before we are clear of what I have open thus far. Then the fun starts...
I wonder, as these things get more complex whether they'll reach a point we can't do mission plus bonus in a 2 hour session?

Same with me, although I still have to do the Henge of Denravi quest (something about a river).

Oh hey, I should have mentioned this last night...
I have a new resurrect skill. I need at least 10 energy to cast it, but it empties my energy pool regardless of how much is there, and it rezzes at the same level as my previous (i.e., fractional health and energy for the receiver). It does have the benefit of summoning the player to my location, though - so as long as I can get in spell range without attracting mob attention, there's no need to rush in to protect the rezzee.

We might have to be a little better prepared (especially with hints for the bonus) in upcoming missions if we want to keep to the two hour turnarounds, but I don't think they'll get much longer than that. Guild Wars is a "group instance" game at it's core, I think they've intentionally tried to steer clear of lengthy "all-night raid" style situations.
Last night went pretty well with the execption of us accidentally ganking the centuar scout before he'd coughed up the bonus. Most comical moment of the night was in the first cutscene when it appeared like one of Zyll's Bone Horrors stepped too close to the ledge and slipped slowly into the chasm. I could hear him in my head saying "Um, excuse me, little help over here. Anyone? No? OK then I'll just...ahhhhh!!!!"

I'm impressed that they even incorporate the minions into the cut scenes.
I liked the bit in the final cut scene where I demand an explanation of the Shining Blade chica, only to get us faced down by a dozen or so of her followers.
**gulp** What do you intend to do to us?!
Way not to soil the leathers there Sparky. :lowlol:

Heh. My favorite part was the monologuing centaur after we accidentally killed his partner the first run through. Funny that he stood there carrying on a one-sided convesation with the corpse - GuildWars-meets-SixthSense. :lowrazz:

Haha! I forgot about the corpse talking centaur.
I had to wonder what the Shining Blade needed our help with the spiders for when they apparently had 20 well armed warriors just standing around waiting for us to threaten their leader...who, by the way, had a totally hot tattoo on her back that her outfit accentuated perfectly.
Zyll: "What do you intend to do with us?"
Raveneye (looks leader chick up and down): "I can think of a few things..."
Destrid: "Oh great, we're so dead..."

The fact that your guy sounds (and kinda looks) like Mike Tyson puts a whole new spin on that conversation... :rotflmao:
