NOTE: I now have the 18pp needed for the Sigil to create the hall. Thanks to all who donated. I will be leaving on vacation this coming Wednesday, so vote for your faves in this thread, I'll post a poll of the top 3 or 4 on Monday afternoon, and I will make the purchase Tuesday evening. That way you all can muck about in the guildhall while I'm gone.
So the time has come to select a location for the Legends of Westwood Guild Hall in Guild Wars. Cost for the Sigil to create our hall is 18 plat, which is the first guild related cost I can't foot by myself. Once a location is arranged, I'll figure out some method of donation collection.
Without further ado, let's peek at some real estate!
Warrior's Isle (pics 1-4)
Not a bad spot. Reminds me a lot of many of the explorable locations in the early game.
Hunter's Isle (pics 5-7)
Kinda dreary, looks like the weather is bad a lot.
Wizard's Isle (pics 8-11)
Quite nice. Looks a lot like Pre-Searing Ascalon.

Frozen Isle (pics 12-13)
Not much to this one. A Shiverpeaks motiff with sparse decor.
Nomad's Isle (pics 14-15)
Kind of a combo of post-searing Ascalon and Crystal Desert
Druid's Isle (pics 16-17)
Pretty much a jungle theme, with some really big shrooms.

Isle of the Dead (pics 18-21)
A real party spot! Very impressive looking gothic theme.
Burning Isle (pics 22-25)
Comes with built in hot tubs and sauna. Reminds me of Lavastorm.
Isle of Weeping Stone (pics 26-28)
Why does it weep? Maybe it's the depressing decor?

Isle of Meditation (pics 29-32)
Snatch the pebble from my hand young grasshopper! Calm, serene, pretty.
Imperial Isle (pics 33-36)
Asian theme with lots of cool decor. China is here Mr. Burton...
Isle of Jade (pics 37-39)
Like living in a jade quarry. Not sure the pics show it well, but all the jade surfaces are reflective.
This concludes the tour. Please view the locations and rank your top two or three. We'll try a selection by consensus method.
PLEASE NOTE: You can visit any of these locations to inspect them yourself. Go to Lion's Arch in Kryta and talk to the Guild Hall NPC. (If you haven't reached Kryta yet, then you'll be stuck looking at the pics I've posted...)

Sigils were running 18pp this morning. I can contribute at least a third of that, and more if necessary.
My top three...
1a - Wizard Isle. Just love the pre-Searing look.
1b - Imperial Isle. Also very impressive, although somewhat dark in places.
3 - Isle of Meditation. I like the serenity, and the dock along the beach with the big boat.

I think the idea is to narrow it down to 3 or 4 and THEN run a poll when a winner would be meaningful :)
I like imperial and meditation
frost was cool (the snowflakey one ; not everfrost on ice :o )

I'm not big on the oriental style architecture. So, I went with Wizards.

OK, Imperial Isle is winning by a 4-2 margin. I'm checking this thread again around 8:00pm or so EST and laying down a guild hall in the winning location, so VOTE DAMNIT (if you haven't already).

Like I said in the daily thread, I got my way with the cloaks, so I'm good with whatever you guys decide.

I'm deferring to the masses because the pics load so damned slow for me at present that I'm not even trying to look them over, and I haven't had time to look in from work this week.

POLL NOW CLOSED.
Imperial Isle won with the narrow 4-3 victory. Access our new Guild Hall by going to Guild on the Menu and clicking the GuildHall button. It's sparse right now, but as we go forward we can add merchants, crafters and bankers. We can also have guild battles and hopefully do other cool stuff in the future.

How do we add the other stuff? Are there things we would have to do?

Any guild member can purchase them from the Guild Lord (in the hall, I gather, but I haven't been there yet). Prices range from 10p (for the banker, Priest of Balthazar, and Weaponsmith) to 100p (for the skill trainer).

When you say p.... Is that in People?! 10 Players?! 10 Potted Plants? 10 Purning shots at Max damage?!!
Sure, line up that expensive Priest of Balthazar.... No no stay still man, we've got the Apples from Sarah near the spiders no need to run off for anything. Relax, good old Bixie Slayer here is a pro at this! Now, put that apple on yer head...

I object! We are tie (4-4) on the vote as of today! We should've had the Wizard's Isle! :lowrazz:

Sounds like the perfect opportunity for a coup to me.
