I'm still curious about missions. I went into one by pressing the enter mission button, and I thought I finished it. But I see that I can enter the mission again, and redo the whole thing again. Did I miss something? I still have the minor quests to work on, but I'm curious about the primary quests, I don't have one right now. Is there something I'm missing?

You can play the missions as many times as you want. If you've successfully completed the main mission task, a sword will be displayed across the shield on your map page, from left (top) to right (bottom). If you've successfully completed the bonus, another sword will display from right (top) to left (bottom). Completing a mission just means you won't get experience for it if you do it again. You can still enter the mission and redo it if you want.

Primary quests drive the plot. In missions that finish in an outpost without another mission, there will always be a primary quest that leads you to the next mission outpost. For example, the Fort Ranik mission leaves you at Frontier Gate. From there, you pick up the Ruins of Surmia primary quest, which leads you to the next mission in (oddly enough) Ruins of Surmia.

Thanks. I was wondering about the sword and shields.

Just wait if you get Factions - then there are three mission outcome components, spears running left, right and vertically.

Hmmm, I have factions, but I'm still playing the old characters.

I prefer Factions' missions since there is no bonus just a time limit as to which level the outcome is.
