Sorry I've been largely away from the game for a few days. I had a mishap over the weekend that has limited me a bit - sprained the ring and pinky fingers on my left hand, and did some nerve damage that left my index finger on the same hand mostly numb. Doc says it should fade over the next week or so, though. Typing I can do mostly one-handed, but I was having difficulty mousing/typing at the same time for a few days. Things are improving, though, so I should be there come this Thursday evening at 9pm EST.
Gravenstone and Attriel are both in the desert, and they're the only two people still playing semi-regularly that haven't ascended, so I'm thinking we should continue to work on that. Thirsty River seems like a good goal. As far as I know, Zyll still needs it. It's not too bad to get to if Knemo hasn't unlocked it yet, and it may be the hardest Ascension mission to complete anyway.
So, what say y'all? Meet in Augery Rock at 9pm EST for a jaunt down to Thirsty River to run the mission?

You've been looking at that Girls of the World Cup site again haven't you?
I'm in to help peeps ascend. I've been mostly playing Planetside the past few days as it's pretty mindless and I've been sort of zombiefied from work and home. I do want to play more GW though, so Thursday can be a start and then I can solo some of the new stuff in Southern Shiverpeaks over the weekend.

Ack! Sorry about the hand Erudite, but the Doc. thinks really no biggie?
<tries to make a sympathy saving throw> If it helps, I hurt my big toe on my left foot and it is now a bit uncomfey to walk in high-heels at work. I'm trying to be thankful about the little bit of uncomfey-ness I'm feeling here compared to your hand... if I had the problem you have with your hand, I wouldn't be able to work at all and would have to call in.
I'll help out with any of the Ascended missions. The only hard one for me to do with Xell leading is the Three crystal one. She's just not a tank. Nor is Thom or Stehan or Stephan or whatever is Tin-Bellyish's name is. The other two I either have done with just Xell and hencies or with Xell/Anoe, Hencies.
So I'm up and good to go on any of em without needing a PC tank but for one. Though I still need the bonus for that freaky out of the friggen way in Vultures I-can't-stand-that-last-20-seconds one. (sigh) So close sooo many times to bouns.. soooo friggen close. And it was the first one I finished out of all three! (grumbles)
Oh, and if anyone wants to play over in the orient, lemme know. We'll load up on Dorf Ale to pass out to the sick peasants and go take screen shots. (chuckles)

Hmm, sounds like you dropped a tablesaw on your hand?
Is this the second guild table-saw related incident? :)

I hope to be around, was just slammed from work last week and ended up sleeping instead of playing last Thursday. This week looks better, although my connection seems quite twitchy weatherwise so that's likely what will pass as a determining factor.

Nah, no table saw. Just a highly aggressive mean-spirited bloodthirsty chain link...uh, basketball net. Kind of funny in retrospect.

Dude, white men can't jump.
I may not be online tonight for the regular group. I found out last night that we have people coming over tonight. I'm going to try to usher them out the door before 9:00pm, but they are my wife's friends and they are known to be chatty. In a perfect world, everyone would be addicted to gaming, so that all you'd have to say is "Uh, I've got a group waiting on me at 9:00" and they'd be like "Oh, say no more, we'll be on our way. Good luck and may the phat lewtz flow!".
If I am not on by a few minutes past 9:00pm, please go on without me.

Actually, at my house... this does happen. Well except for the phat lewtz part. I just say, sure I can do that but at such and such a time I've got to do puter stuff. People say, "Okay. Sounds good." Then at the time I go, "I'm sorry I gotta go, it is puter stuff time."
Since everyone around me is used to me being the puter wizz at fixing stuff. I'm beginning to think people think I'm fixing stuff. When in fact, they would be correct I am fixing stuff. I'm fixing the fact that:
1) I'd like to log in
2) I'd like to play my character
3) Usually during a work week it is rude to keep people after 9:00 pm either them or me.
4) I usually refer to #3 as I don't want to be rude to you or your fam. Also see, I know you have things to do and I've got to get this other thing knocked out.
5) #4 Refers to getting members in LoW to ascended. But really, I don't want to spoil conversation by boring anyone by telling them that. I'm just thinking of them so can sincerely and truly say that with the sweetest voice.
6) Hubby sure as heck doesn't mind leaving/getting his house back or back to the house so no worries on back up there. Hubby, "Yeah she's always busy like that on the puter. She's a wiz." Hubby gets some super huggle attention because he rules in the hubby department before log time and an early nighter.
7) People are always sweet enough to ask about the puter stuff afterwards and I can tell them truly:
A: Oh it took forever.. (i.e. we got wiped out once or twice) But finally got it figured out (we won.)
B: No worries, was done in no time and I think those that were needing some puter help are happy. (We all friggen r00xx00r3D!!!!!!!)
C: Humm well it was... did what you guys were talking about work out?
(Other person answers yes...) Oh good! For me it was so so, but you never know will have to see. Kind of like your situation was.
(Other person answers no.. ) Oh no, sorry to hear that. For me.. oh it was so so, but you never know will have to see. Fortunately it worked out in the end for now.. so do you think about your situation...
And from there move on to their thingy and all puter questions are over with.
See?! They even care enough to ask afterwards! This too can happen to you!
I should write another book....

Another productive night on the path to Ascension for some of our guildmembers.
Starting in Augury Rock a few minutes late (and without Kiir, who was feeling a bit under-the-weather), we played dodge-the-hydras as much as we could and managed a quick and neatly efficient run to Destiny's Gorge for Knemo. Linkdeath beset our little group on the run from there to Thirsty River, though, and since it happened to the only person who had yet to unlock that particular locale we were forced to restart that jaunt. Turned out okay, though, as it let Zyll join us for the run. He'd previously been waiting in Thirsty River for us.
The second run went smoothly, and after some quick selling/banking we started our mission. Without Raveneye joining us, I ran the mission with Seomon to tank. Worried about the monk boss, I left all his healing/protection spells out and went with a solid interrupting skillset. Zyll, duplicating the necromancer main with Knemo, focused on his ranger interrupts as well. It turns out that this is a pretty effective mix, as we had no problems whatsoever. Knemo capped his necro elite and we finished off the last group in plenty 'o time for the bonus.
Xellany bailed for hubby time as we were discussing whether or not to try to the run down to Dunes of Despair in the limited time Zyll had left. Decided to give it a try, and almost made it before he had to leave as well. (Seriously, GravenStone, we were moments away when we wiped and even with the run back we were there in less than 10 minutes from you logging.) Sand elementals are still entirely evol.
So, Zyll needs Dunes for Ascension, and Knemo needs Dunes and Ehlona Reach. Complicating the issue, Zyll still needs to unlock Dunes and Knemo still needs to unlock Ehlona Reach. (Although, to be fair, Ehlona Reach is pretty quick to get to from Destiny's Gorge.) If they get those unlocked this week, we can run both missions next Thursday - they're quick ones. Then it'll just be the dragon and we'll all be hanging out in the Southern Shiverpeaks together. :pantless:

Sorry I couldn't make it on in time to help last night. I should be on at various points this weekend, so if someone needs a hand opening a location just say the word. If we get everyone's maps updated with the proper locations, we can run the two remaining missions for Ascenscion for Knemo and Zyll easily next Thursday.

Well, I found my way down to Dunes of Despair tonight, so I'm ready for the final (for me) mission prior to Ascension. Hopefully Thursday night, although if some of you happen to be around tomorrow, maybe we can churn it out. Or, I might try my luck with the henchies tonight yet, and worry about the bonus for another day.

As far as I know, nobody had the bonus for that one yet. We've failed it every time I've been on a run through anyway.

I popped on for a few minutes around 8pm EST last night. Atty was the only other person online then. I hung around for a little bit to see if anybody else was gonna show, then logged and did some stuff around the house instead.

Is that the one where you need to kill all the nameds in the back of the keep while also keeping the ghost guy alive while he casts the spell? I think I still need that bonus too.
It should be a lot easier if we can do it as a full or nearly full PC group, as we can send off people to handle the nameds and not have henchies running to and fro confused about thier roles.
