I had Destrid on last night with Xellany. We had planned on running down to Iron Mines of Moladune to get our armor infused (helping to negate the Mursaat's innate PBAoE). Destrid hadn't yet been south of Granite Citadel, though, so we had to do that run - through Spearhead Peak to the outpost at Copperhammer Mines, and then through Frozen Forest to the Iron Mines.
Yikes, that's a rough haul. There are several catastrophically large groups of mobs, often including bosses (one included two). Large roving bands of ice imps, Stone Summit guys featuring our favorite gnashers (necros with an annoying habit of turning their fallen comrades into bone fiends), seige ice golems - all great fun. We limped into Copperhammer Mines from Spearhead Peak carting hefty DPs (although, in fairness, over half of mine came from a misguided attempt to dash for the rez pad against a less-than-impressive three-mob group which proceeded to whack me - twice). The trip through Frozen Forest was a bit more pleasant, but really only by virtue of being shorter.
It took us nearly two hours to move through those two zones. I capped a pair of monk elites, though, so that was worthwhile, and we're set up to make an infusion run (and cap Barrage for Xellany) in the near future. I've gotta watch Rockstar: Supernova (over Onnie's objections :lowrazz: ) tonight, though, so likely not this evening.

First time I read that, my mind omitted the 'with' and reordered the words somewhat. :lowrazz:

I need to split my time more evenly between Planetside and Guild Wars. I'm falling behind.

You're still okay, Raveneye. You're actually pretty close to Grenth's Footprint/Deldrimor War Camp/Sorrow's Furnace - which is the best play-for-fun area in the game, I think. And you can already get into the Ruins of the Tomb of Primeval Kings. (Speaking of brutal, by the way - yeesh. That place is just unforgiving.)

You're not behind, I'm still cleaning up Crystal Desert missions. As I mentioned in game last night, I was running to a mission hot spot and saw a named Hydra guarded by a couple flunkies. Just as I move to engage, I got hit with a lag bomb - when I finally get control back, I;m now beset by the original trio, and two roving pairs of hydra. Needless to say, my whole party was smoked in seconds (damned AE Meteor strikes). Respawned and limped into one of the player areas needed for one of the South Shiverpeaks quests. Was going to head back out to try it again when I got booted while zoning, so I called it a night.

Actually, even though had the area marked for awhile it's getting to Grot that I've been having serious trouble with because of all the Murssats down south. And to mark the mission in the area you've got a freak'n MESS of Ice Imps. Think where I want to storm to get Raveneye The OTHER even MORE wanted Sword in the game and we are on the same page of what the Ice Imps are like. It's either straight through them to try to town mark or straight south to the Murssats between you and Grot. I've just been getting frustrated with Hencies trying it. I think the last time I tried it was right before Raveneye logged out at Agury Rock before Acsending and doing the Draggie.

I was laughing so hard at that. I was thinking of all the groups you hadn't fallen to... then suddenly WHOMP. It was like a one-shot kill and by only three tiny itty bitty witty lil Ice Imps that were JIST PLAY'N! Bwahahha!
Stupid Dorfs for some reason were moving right/acting right. I wonder if it was because I click on the Captin to get him to move... sometimes though they move right, sometimes I've (perhaps) started them moving early by clicking on him. He turns, looks, and heads out. Usually they all go with but some of the crits were strange last night. Like the healer Boss watching us until the last minute take everything down then TURNING AND RUNNING. All the way back behind seesh I don't know it was quite a ways and we hadn't even hit the guy yet. Still it was funny.

Yeah the run isn't hard. Just leave Des where I set him I'll sprint Xell up north so cut scene engages. Dead or alive it yanks the party and rez's them. Then we go fight something and come back.. infused. Pretty simple. I wonder though if George gets infused or if he would auto infuse if I'm infused. (i.e. gotta have pet up with.) I know they are spec. in the area about hencies being infused or not so it makes me wonder about pets. If they aren't with they don't get infused or they never can be infused, etc.

lol Cara! Actually, I read it wrong the first time too because the thread popped up in the middle and I was scrolling to the top seeing the statement in quote alone first.
Pshaw! Onnie's married.

Oh, I would never dispute that.
Her husband seems like a decent chap, though. Good guy and all that. This despite his frequent interruptions of Onnie's Guild Wars time. I mean, it's like the man doesn't understand that the fate of Tyria hangs in the balance, ferchrissakes. Sacrifices must be made! :lowrazz:
