Some Good News

Hey all,

I just thought I would make a quick post to update you guys on some events in my life I mentioned in a previous daily thread. I mentioned previously that I had applied for the Auxiliary Constable program here in Toronto. Well about 2 weeks ago I was hired (it is a volunteer police program, full uniform, etc) and this evening I was sworn in and my training begins Thursday.

This is a huge step towards realizing my dreams of becoming a police officer!

Wanted to share this with everyone, it has been a huge couple of weeks for me and I wanted to make sure you all were in on it!

It goes back a long while (since I was a kid)...

The thing is when you have a pretty darn good career going its not always easy to consider another option, even more so when its going from a comfy desk job to something on the way opposite end of the spectrum like policing. It is an internal debate (and thats probably one of the hard parts about this, its a debate I've kept locked pretty deep inside until I got married) that has raged on for quite some time and I've finally over the last say 4-5 months really started to see myself going down the path.

Being an Auxiliary Constable to me is taking a final look at going down that path and then making my decision of where life goes from here.
