Went to a Cub Scouts meeting with the boy. Man you should have seen all the parents literally leaping from their chairs in the rush to volunteer for den meetings and field trips...
Played Guild Wars with Eurdite until the wee hours. We knocked out two missions and a bonus, plus got my armor infused so that Mersaat and Jade baddies don't do nearly as much damage anymore. No more running in fear every time they float by...hooray infusion!

Attended a product show in Lincoln, then came home, putzed around with Kaerik a bit, and crashed for the night.

Haven't had a good apple cobbler in a looong time. Or cider too. Cable got knocked off again by the construction crew at this apartment building, so spent the good part of the morning and afternoon wandering about. Instead of cleaning. Seems like I'm almost always trying to avoid cleaning? Thus ate at the Dodo and visited the Barista again... Hoped to save money on this vacation by not travelling, and I end up spending more... The lady at the Barista (think this one is the owner?) said she didn't mind me staying using the WiFi... And I could stay there as long as I wanted to... I dunno if I wanna stay there all day using the wifi like that, even free. Maybe I'll try that idea out later. But did eat a salad (first in a long time), several drinks. Can't wait to see what soups they'll have for the fall. Plans are for oatmeal and cream of wheat and something else for the hot cereals.
Played PS late in the evening. Join a squad, got kicked off... Joined another, got kicked off... Was declined several times. Got funky textures on a lot of the character models later in the game. /sigh. Then a lock.
As for EQ-Classic not working... It seems like with their new update/game engine back in June'06, I might need a new video card (HUH!?) ... /sigh. I need to review their knowledge database again to make sure. the FX5900U (nVidia) is still current and valid for the most part, isn't it? I forgot the specs on that thing...
Didn't watch any movies or TV shows lately (other than Heroes) ... Been reading mostly... Oils. Whee...
Oooooh, the new Iron Man movie, guess who's playing Tony Stark (http://edition.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Movies/09/29/film.ironman.reut/index.html)? I wonder how this will turn out...
Might watch Fearless today or tomorrow... /twitch.

Played a bit of WoW. Completed the voidwalker quest for the warlock - that pet makes a significant difference.
I'm quite impressed by herbalism/alchemy as a tradeskill pair, especially since I found the "find herbs" skill button. It makes a change to have tradeskills which actually produce useful stuff at low level (I haven't seen that since making patchwork leather armour in the early days of EQ). I might try this combo
for my undead warrior as he has more need of such boosts than most.

Played some DDO with atty on our duo characters. I got my sorceror to rank 8 in level 2 so only two more ranks to level 3. I think we are going to do the waterworks quests next to open up the marketplace. She would be further along but we decided to redo her so that she can deal with int runes which required a 14 int.
Other then that didn't do much last night, had baked potato soup for dinner, and talked to atty. Today is his last day at his current job, it is going to be weird to have him working elsewhere.

Played a little off and on in the evening when the kids were distracted with something else. I played some WoW doing some AH and getting some characters a new skill, etc. No hunting. After dinner, Ben wanted to play PS in the training area until he got bored. I set him up with my cloaker, I figured it would be harder for him to die that way. He got frustrated, and once I saw what was going on, I had a hard time helping. We were in a base cap, but someone dropped the gen. I used CE in the courtyard, and moved the AMS when it got discovered, which was very cool! I ended up taking over for Ben, and did ok, but then I had to leave to give the kids a bath. :D Read after that, and watched the movie, "First Knight". Another King Arthur movie that moves even further away from the original story. :D It was ok.

Found out that a friend of mine who had a double masectomy yesterday morning was in good shape, as the cancer had not spread. Went out drinking to celebrate!

Discovered a potential new WoW pet yesterday so I logged in my baby hunter and went..well.. hunting.
Headed to the ruins at the north end of Darkshore and fought the naga there. Found some cat statues and opened them. On the 3rd open, the ghost saber spawned and I tamed him.
He is SO COOL!!! Seriously! Even after being tamed, he is still a ghost cat and is semi-transparent. When prowling, he gets even more diffuse than normal and is hard to see even if someone sees through his stealth!
Oh... and in the process of clearing naga looking for statues, I DINGED level 21 and 22 :D
I'd like to play WoW tonight and do something in a group like go to Uldaman (40+), Razorfen Downs (35-45ish), or Feralas (40+) or maybe something else.

I had been so busy, last night was the first I played DDO again since... oh good grief... labor day weekend. Kinda had to relearn what icons were what. Died 3 times. Damn knock down! *shakes fist* then read up a little about the starter quests to see what's re-doable and get myself familiar with the interface & etc. all over again. Heh.

yeah, it was really great news. She's only 31 and has two kids so it was a really shock when I heard she was sick.

DNP. Yesterday, I had an important business lunch meeting with my client from Chevron. It went extremely well. I was a little nervous because he was looking for my completed surveys, and I only had 7 of them done but they were HUGE ones. He was pleased with my work. I also found out that we will have the job for another two years!! As much as I complain about these surveys, it sure does feel great to have a job and job security (granted I dont get fired for being a bitch at work  ).
Jack had karate and Celina talked on the phone, etc etc. Didnt feel like playing after my day was done. Hopefully I will be on WoW tonight to help out.

Glad your friend seems to be okay. She'll be in our prayers for her continued and improving health.
Arrived to work later than planned, stayed until 6ish, then went home for dinner and some cleaning. Spent half hour at Becky's sister's house, eating ice cream and talking about stuff. When Becky went to bed, I stayed up until *cough*almosttwointhemorning*cough* playing Literati. :*

dsl up again! yay.
got into a group with a tank who was 44 and had no idea what they were doing right away. everyone got pissed off and left, but i took pity and threw a whole bunch of tips at em and explainined why you don't show up to cazic thule ready to tank without any idea of how to do so, and they finally understood/thanked me.
then i realized i had a 43 assasin in the group who never left and he started thanking me too as he was new and didn't know about half the things i described. i checked out his gear and realized he was using a shield and a 10 lvls too low single weild piercer, so i made some suggs on what he should be using, and then had to explain to the pali why they wanted to use something different to dual weild, etc.
hoping this good deed will go a long way toward all the bad karma i more commonly rack up with my toons bailing on groups out of intolerance of ignorance of the game, while i may do so semi-politely it always makes me feel bad.
got zero done, but was good to be in /gu again and rap with fis & kal, et al.
logged into PS and a similarly unfruitful night, but hooked up with the section 8 guys again after quite a bit of time away from them, so that was good.

A tank at 44 and a rogue at 43. Ya know... I don't know if that's sad because it's too easy to level in the game or if that's sad because you have to learn so much to be able to play the high level game properly.

That is so true. I loved tanking in EQ1 because it was such an art. I feel like I was pretty good at it, but it took my 30 or so levels to really get it down. We really did only have one taunt, and it only did work about half the time.
Sometimes I really miss EQ1.
