/me wonders how much caloric energy is used when typing and playing games all day long.

System was back up and running again last night so I logged in briefly to play Neuse but then was interrupted by one of the kids escaping from their room. Gave them water and retucked into bed and then remembered a bunch of stuff I needed to do before morning so that was it for my gaming time.

Went to work early this morning so I can cut out by lunch time. I'm going to surprise my wife and take her to lunch to celebrate our 10yr anniversary. Wanted to do dinner but with the kids dance classes evenings are out.

We plan on taking a long weekend sometime in the near future to celebrate, when things aren't so hectic but who's kidding who-I think lunch alone together may be it. We are still waiting to take our honeymoon :lowsad:

OMG... The poor poor kids! Geesh... (NTS: Don't follow that path!) and wth is Spooge?

Woo, no OT! Was told I would be going to a dinner event Sat for "Women of Colour in Flight from Around the World (http://www.jemisonfoundation.org/wocif/)." Uh, why!? My company (who is also a sponsor) has 10 seats... there was three left (or 4)... I gotta find something suitable for the dinner event. /sigh. Hrmm... Nichelle Nichols... Will be the first TOS actor(ess) I've seen in person, compared to the TNG/DS9 folks.

Did play WoW, helped Charity out with a quest progressing it a lil' further. Got lost and we got wiped by some nagas. Running/riding didn't help very well. :D

Other than that, not much else... Browsed forums and news... Fell asleep with the glasses on again (ugh)...

Might be in CoH or WoW or something tonight... Depends on what happens... :D But, I'm most likely heading out into the Real World to have some form of life... ;) French Toast is calling my name, having been neglected for many weeks... Not quiet winter, so I'm not staying cooped up yet!

Spent most of the evening working on my paper. I'm just about done. Good thing, since it's kind of due tomorrow.

Had My Name is Earl, the Office, Supernatural, Shark, and Smallville going in the background while I worked on it.

Logged on late in the evening and completed a quest with Kaerik.

Spent most of the night running back and forth between the bathroom and bed, praying to the porcelain god. I think it's a virus I picked up from one of the sick kids in my apartment complex, compounded by my exhaustion from trying to juggle work and school. So now I'm home sick for the day, until I somehow have to drag myself down to Lincoln for school. :(

Probably the least offensive synonym I can think of is semen.

Left early to take a dog and cat to the vets.

Got home early and played WoW. The Arathi Basin was a waste of time. The Alliance was so totally clueless that the hoard got all 5 nodes both times and we lost so badly, we didn't even get honor points for trying.
So I pulled out my baby warlok and got him a couple of levels.

Then Murgos logged in and I brought Sagari in. We went to the Swamp of Sorrows and beat up murlok looking guys in a cave there to get Murgos some of the mithril and black pearls he needs for his blacksmithing quests.

Then I logged of and read a bit.

Tonight, we have a Happy Hour get together for my old boss as he moves to his new job. Then we have to run some errands in town. Not sure when we will get home, but it will certainly be later than normal.

DNP. On the way home from work I stopped and got myself dinner and Joy some flowers (she'd had a rough morning). Came home and watched Survivor and a couple old Scrubs episodes.

Last night, I played some more WoW. I started out in the Blasted Lands soloing the usual wolves, bugs, and stuff. Then I saw Sumire come on. We hung out going to Azhshara (sp?). It was fun. It's an area that I haven't really been into yet. And I got the gryphon path on it now, which is cool. While we were playing Murgos made a really nice sword. I looked at the stats, and it looked really nice. And I remembered that Daelorn's sword was kinda old for him. I bought it off Murgos. He had to get something for it. It's a really nice sword, and I tried it out on a level 20 bear. I now hit for 33 more points per strike than I did before, and it has some nice effects in addition. Very sweet! Thanks Murgos!

DNP.

Spent most of the evening helping my wife and son pack for their trip. Watched "The Unit" that we had recorded earlier in the week and then went to bed early since everyone had to be up at the crack of dawn to leave this morning.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend with just my 3-year-old daughter. We're going to the zoo tomorrow. She's all excited about it. She's also looking forward to football on Sunday, 'cause she knows that means dad will have all the good snacks out all day.

Played a bunch of EQ2. Got on in the middle afternoon, soloed to 47 and then got into cazic group and we got through level 48 which was nice. Came back on later as my provisioner and got her two levels as well and played with the new tradeskill changes (at least new to me), so she is now a level 40 provisioner which is nice. I then checked to see how much outfitting Mos when she hits 50 will be and realized it will really be 52 before she upgrades gear and will cost about 8pp for armor, 5 to 6pp for weapons and a couple of plat for new jewelry (though not all the jewelry she has needs replacing). So I have 4 levels or so to save up about 20pp which I don't see happening, but at least I know how much I need.

Other then that didn't do much, surfed the web some.

joined mos in the afternoon CT group, got ozeki up to 46. was a good group but we couldn't figure out how to do the sanctum of fear (an instance at the bottom), we wiped both times it was attempted, oddly the second attempt even worse than the first - odd because the first time we were only 5, the second time we had a 48 warlock with us so should have fared much better, only we did much worse. anyway would be nice to go see what that instance is all about sometime, guessing some good loot might drop down there.

did the two new god quests for ozeki, so now he can expect a 1% success chance increase while buffed for 90 against heat any hour he chooses =p

anyway, today is presentaiton day to a prospective employer, so i'm off to drink much coffee, prepare files & run thru me talking points - fingers crossed. after rapping with the family afterward i will no doubt be starting on the push for ozeki to get 50+ this weekend.

he's got all his spell adepts to 50 and a master for clarity (47), and one for another mana booster we get at 48 or so, plus his master for 50 level tash, which deepfred picked up months ago and never did sell. i find the need for masters on casters a bit harrowing, but shad's constant worrying about them in /gu is starting to make sense now, they are more important for us casters than gear/stats me thinks.

Kiir,
You can harvest the rares for some of these and have them made for ALOT cheaper! Check the guild bank for rares as there are some there as well. I will check my bags for any that I may have hanging around as well.

Didn't really play last night but watched Smallville and Survivor and then went and read somemore Chainfire before going to bed early. Not sure I will be on tonight either but am planning on going some of the other 68+ LoWers who are joining Sonnyjim and his crew Saturday night to do a Labs raid. Look forward to that and I am hoping we can clear the whole zone without me using my repair kit! :P

Picked up pizza at my new favorite pizzeria on the way home and had the kids in bed reasonably early. Completed the 6 hour patch of Vanguard (took me 3 nights due to diconnects.) My Vanguard directory is 22 freaking gigabytes.

We watched BSG 2.5 ep 4 (President cured of cancer with Sharon's fetus blood) and ep 2 of Rome.

I like Rome, but a lot of why I like it is the fact that took Latin for 4 years and have always enjoyed the history of that era. The show is fantastic in re-creating that time period and I love watching the stories behind the larger historical events I know are coming. My wife enjoys my enjoyment more than she enjoys the show, though. It does lack the drama of BSG or Six Feet Under so far.

Played Vanguard for 15 minutes before bed just to try it out. I will post in a separate thread. Yes, I will violate the NDA a bit, but I don't really care if I get booted or not and the likelihood of my comments being discovered is low.

ouch, something tells me that does not bode well for said EQ-like beta. wasn't sure if you meant EoF or the big V, but am now intensely interested in what you have to share.

(i love rome too, sad to have missed this season - once i get a TV and a working DVD player agin i plan to add season 2+ to my DVD collection)

Yesterday was probably the last of the brlliant fall days in the Pac NW as it's raining and grey today. It was the usual 60 in the morning when we got up, but by the time the kids ran from the carpark to the playground - after heading in the wrong direction a bit - they were warm enough to pull off their sweaters.

3 yr-old proceeds to fall off the big-boy swing he had petitioned for and decides that the baby swing was safer. The 4 1/2 going on 14 will be asking to do the climbing wall at REI once she gets older. Mark my words.

Then we headed to the grocery store where I found full-cream chocolate milk instead of that low-fat 1% stuff and a piece of 3-layer chocolate mousse cake which got split up into 4 pieces for lunch and dinner dessert.

Conspired with the 4 1/2 going on 14 to lay in bed quietly so that her brother falls asleep and then we'll sneak out (in the hopes that said laying quietly induces somnolence - no such luck)

It was the last day for the local farmer's market so I brought them there as well being that it probably was the last of the warm sunny days. Came back with apple-cider still warm, last of the season raspberries & blackberries and last of the season corn which was gifted to the kids by the "apple-cider man"

3-yr old eats climbs up on counter while I was fixing dinner and eats half the berries before his sister tattles on him. He's polishing off the rest of them for breakfast as I type.

Hats off to parents who manage to work at home with kids. I manage a half hour in the morning and one in the afternoon if I'm lucky. Anything else has to be done before they get up or after they go to bed.

As for me... played a little DDO. Found out that the Philver Quest yields Heal potions so I milk it a few times.

The three mushroom turn in, in the main area also tends to yield heal potions. Whitecaps I think, can't remember exactly but whichever one you need 3 of. The mushroom lady is by the Lobster, but down the stairs a level or so.

The first 2 or 3 episodes of Rome are all about setting up the situations. After that, the plot thickens considerably and there is a lot more drama. Also, the female characters come to the forefront more, so your wife will begin to like it. It took my wife 2 or 3 episodes before she really warmed up to it, then she was the one saying "Let's watch another one!" when we should have been going to sleep. :D

Heh... the first thing that popped to mind was Ruven who worked like a Titan to get his Rubicite then went by "The Lobster"

Must be feeling nostalgic.
